Connecting Horse Trailer with 7-Way Connector to Isuzu Double Cab
Question:
I have a venter horse trailer with 5 wires - blue,yellow, brown, white, black in a round 7 point connection - how should this be connected for an isuzu double cab

The best way to determine the function of each wire is to apply 12 Volts to each and see which function each circuit activates. Typically, the blue wire carries the brake output, the brown carries the running lights, and the yellow wire is for the left directional/brake light. Of the two remaining wires one would carry the right directional/brake light signal, and the other is probably the ground.
If this trailer has electric brakes, you will need a brake controller to actuate them. I would recommend a proportional-type controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. Your controller would need to be hardwired in, using our Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7.
