Pre Greased Hub that Fits 2,000 lb Trailer Axle with 14 inch Wheels
Question:
Hi. I have a 2015 Little Guy silver shadow tear camper. It has ez lube axles. My tire size is 75R14 switched to radial. Rim width is 5.5inches. Manual says axle size is 2000# but I’m unsure what that means. Is there a hub assembly to fit? I honestly have a mechanic pack my bearings and grease axles. I need to learn how to replace the bearings in emergency. I was told this is the easiest solution instead of trying to just do the seals on my own. Is that correct?

Your trailer has 2,000 lb axles which is very common and also what the replacement hub part # AKIHUB-545-2-LFEZ-2K that you referenced is designed to fit on. Since you have a 14 inch trailer wheel that also means the bolt pattern of this matches your wheel too. If you were to have a bearing or seal issue a pre-greased hub like this would be a very simple solution to swap onto the spindle instead of trying to replace the individual components.
