Trailer Hitch Receiver, Wiring and 2" to 1-1/4" Adapter for 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid Thule Bike Rack  

Question:

I’m looking for a hitch with a 1.25 inch hole to receive my 2-bike Thule rack. Will his work for my 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid? Looks like I might need an adapter? Thanks I’m advance for your help.

I recommend using the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e89YR with a Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" # HT02. As currently the only trailer hitch receivers available for your 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid will have a 2" receiver.

If you can tell me what Thule bike rack you have I can check for a replacement lower section for the bike rack that will fit a 2" receiver.

I recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TE54FR when you install the receiver. This will give you a 4-way flat connector that you can use with small trailers you may tow and will also allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with your bike rack if the bikes impair the view of your tail lights.
