Replacement Weight Distribution Hitch for Coleman Pop-Up Camper with Old Reese WDH

Question:

Hello. Prior customer with Q about something new. I lost 1 of 2 sway bars from a Reese kit on my pop-up camper. I can send pix of the other one along with some part numbers stamped into it. Can you help ID the part number and get me a replacement for the single lost piece, please? thanks.

As you've already discovered from some of your other conversations, the Reese 60039 system is no longer available. This hitch was apparently included mostly with small pop-up campers from Coleman and a few other manufacturers, so we're not going to have any trunnion bars that will work on it. With that said, I can help you find a system that would work well on your pop-up camper.

A great weight distribution hitch for a light weight pop-up camper would be something like the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Trunnion - 4,500 lbs GTW, 450 lbs TW # FA92-00-0450 which is ideal for campers with a tongue weight of up to 450-lbs. The Fastway e2 also offers 2 point sway control to help keep your trailer under control in sway situations, and you won't have to get out of the trailer and disconnect the bars to back up-so it's got some great features for a more economical system. This system does not come with a hitch ball, so if you don't already have one with a 1" shank diameter you'll want to use something like the # 40038. You will also need 1-7/8" Thin walled socket # EQ70-00-4800 for hitch ball installation if you don't already have one.

I've linked a brief video about it for you to have a look at.

I've also linked our entire selection of weight distribution hitches that you can search through and see if something else jumps out at you, but you'll want to make sure that you get a system where your tongue weight falls towards the middle of the prescribed range of use in order to get the correct one.
