Troubleshooting Curt TriFlex Brake Controller Not Showing Activation
Question:
Just took the car for a ride and still doing the same. Decimal point when I slide override over and when driving applied brakes and still no decimal point. I know nothing is a guarantee but I used the adapter to go between the controller and the plug for the brake controller in the car. Shouldn’t that give me good connections and would the decimal light up when I slide the manual override if I had bad connections.

On your Curt TriFlex Trailer Brake Controller # C24VV, the decimal point as you put it is standby mode with no trailer connected. The blank screen is also standby mode and that screen is what is seen when simply starting the vehicle, but that screen should illuminate when you press the manual override or show the decimal point when you hit the brake pedal only while moving since it is a proportional controller. If it does not operate under those criteria, then you will need to have the installation checked as it would not be receiving power or ground correctly.
I've attached a photo of the manual that shows this.
