Will the Thule Helium Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Clear the Spare Tire on a 2007 Toyota RAV4

Will this bike rack work for a 2007 rav 4 toyota that has a spare tire on the back, and the spare tire is enclosed in a case?

Expert Reply:
On trailer hitches we have installed on the 2007 Toyota RAV4, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole out to clear the spare tire is between 6 and 7 inches. The Helium, # TH9042PRO, measures 14-3/8 inches from hitch pin hole center to the back of the upright bar so it should clear the spare. The closest part of the rack is 8 inches from the hitch pin hole at the bottom of the rack. You will need measure on your specific set up to determine fit.
I have included links to the instructions and a video for you. If you will be carrying womens, childrens, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the bike adapter bar # TH982XT for greater ground clearance and to carry the bikes more level. I have included a video link showing how the adapter works.
