Can Hitch Ball of Buyers Products Ball Mount # 3371803307 Easily Remove  

Question:

If I need this ball mount to be mounted with the 3/4inch rise, can I easily remove the ball and turn it over? My husband is telling me that these factory mounted balls are almost impossible to remove. My 1000# trailer 1967 Shasta Compact 13 is being pulled by my Ford Ranger. The measurement to the top of the receiver tube and the measurement to the bottom of the coupler on the trailer is 16-3/4. Is there another product you could recommend?

The ball of the Buyers Products Ball Mount w/ 2" Ball # 3371803307 is attached very securely but it would not be impossible to remove by any means. That said, if you wanted this ball mount so that you could use it in the rise position it's probably better just to go with a ball mount like the part # D-4 which doesn't have a ball mounted and then install a 2 inch ball like the # 63845 in the rise position and you'd be set. You will also need the Hitch Pin and Clip, # PC3.

This is the closest to a zero rise/drop like you'd need as well since you said your coupler and hitch height are the same.
