Fit of Draw-Tite Class III Receiver Hitch on 2016 Ford Escape
Question:
I have a 2016 ford escape with a factory installed tow package. How do I determine if it is a class 2 or3 ???

The fit note you mention is actually referring to the Class II factory hitch. Certain hitches cannot be installed on vehicles that already have the factory hitch, but the Draw-Tite # 75758 would be an exception because it attaches to the inside of the frame members rather than the underside so the factory hitch wouldn't interfere. If you do not have the factory hitch, all the hitches we offer for the vehicle would be compatible.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing, you might be interested in the following to complete your towing set-up:
Trailer wiring harness, part # 118566
Ball mount # D-4
Hitch Pin and Clip, # PC3
1-7/8 inch trailer ball # 19260 or 2 inch ball # 63845
If you click the provided links, you can see videos of the # 75758 hitch as well as the wiring harness being installed on a 2016 Escape.
