How to Determine if 2018 Kia Sorento V6 AWD Has Factory Tow Package

Have a 2018 Kia Sorento v-6 all wheel drive. How can I tell if has trailer tow package on it?

Aside from contacting your local Kia dealer with the VIN for your 2018 Kia Sorento the easiest way to determine if you have the factory tow package or not is to simply go to the rear driver's side of your vehicle and locate the OEM wiring connectors. I have attached an installation video of this for the Curt T-Connector # C56332 on a similar 2018 Sorento that you can check out. If you don't have the factory tow package then you'll require the T-One # 118583 instead which plugs in behind your tail lights.
If you don't already have a trailer hitch then I recommend the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver # E98843 because it has a matte black finish that has more of a durable look to hide any scratches from road debris, is made in the USA, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
To complete a towing setup you also need a ball mount kit. I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900 because it includes two ball mounts, one with a 3/4” rise/2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise/4” drop, a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You will want to refer to the attached ball mount article to ensure that this kit is correct for your towing application.
