Recommended Wiring Harness for 2016 Nissan Frontier Without Tow Package
Question:
When I bought my 2016 Nissan Frontier, it came bare bones with no trailer/towing package ordered. I want to add the hitch which doesnt seem to be an issue but Im unsure if theres anything to wire a harness to. How do I check to know for sure what to order. If its any help, I wont be using it for anything than a small trailer or something like a small wood chipper.

For your 2016 Nissan Frontier without a tow package, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118266. This will allow you to easily connect to your factory wiring and have a 7-way. If you only want the 4-way flat since you are using a small trailer, you can alternatively use the # C56225. Many with even small trailers prefer the 7-way but you can use an adapter like # 47345 or a 7-way with integrated 4-way flat like # HM40950.
For the trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75282 which will also give you the mount for your wiring. Then you can use either the Mounting Bracket for 7-Way # 18138 or the 4-way bracket # 18144.
