Hitch, 7-Way and Brake Controller Recommendation for 2015 GMC Savana Work Van
Question:
I am looking to add a hitch receiver for a 2015 GMC Savanna 3/4 ton work van. I am looking at the 14090 hitch with the HM40975 plug. Do you have the wiring harness from the plug to the van. The van has a 6 prong straight plug that has a cap installed in it by the bumper. also would like to add trailer brakes. Do you have a recommendation? I can send you a pic of the plug if i get your email.

The round connector you have behind the bumper of your 2015 GMC Savana Van will connect directly to the 7 and 4-way combo part # HM40975 that you referenced. It will plug right into it and you'd be set.
For a hitch then the Curt part # 14090 that you referenced is a confirmed fit and would work well. It's designed to fit the cargo vans like what you have as well. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.
For a brake controller you'd then want the Prodigy p3 part # 90195. Your vehicle has the blue output brake wire already ran from the back to the front. It is located under the dash near the emergency brake pedal. Connecting that to the blue wire of the brake controller completes that portion of the wiring. For power and ground for the brake controller you'll need the kit part # 5506. Then for the red wire of the controller you'll need to use a circuit tester to test the wires that lead to the brake pedal till you find the circuit that carries voltage only when the brakes are applied.
