Hitch Solution for Carrying Bike Rack with RV that has Aluminum Bumper

I have a living lite travel trailer....has aluminum bumper on rear ....2x4 size ...was looking at stock number c19101 to use for bicycle rack....will bumper take strain of outward constant force ..twist...not much weight involved only one bicycle. ..thanx

We have a solution that would work most likely for you, but we can't recommend you install the Curt RV hitch part # C19101 on an aluminum bumper.

Instead, a frame mounted option like the part # 13703 would be your better option. This fits frames that are between 22 and 72 inches apart of all styles.

Curt requires the use of their stabilizer strap part # 18050 when using their hitch to carry a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached a review video for you to check for the strap as well.

You'd need an RV approved bike rack as well like the Swagman E-Spec part # S94FR since not all racks are rated for the rougher ride quality at the rear of a trailer.
