Long Aluminum Ball Mount for a 2018 Subaru Outback with Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch
Question:
I have a 2018 Subaru Outback with a Draw-Tite hitch. It is recessed back from the edge of the bumper which requires a minimum of 7” from the center of the hitch pin the edge of the bumper. What do you have that would put the center of the ball at least 10” from the center of the hitch pin. In aluminum, of course. I will need a 3-4” drop as well. Thank you.

There are actually 2 Draw-Tite trailer hitches for the 2018 Subaru Outback: Class III # 75673 with a 2 inch receiver opening and Class II # 36493 with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.
If you have the Class III 2 inch trailer hitch I recommend Brophy aluminum ball mount # EA40. It measures 10-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. It has a drop of 4 inches or rise of 3 inches. I have linked a video review of this ball mount for you.
If you have the 1-1/4 inch Class II trailer hitch there are no aluminum ball mounts available, only steel. The longest available that is in the neighborhood of the drop you need is # 3592. It is 9-3/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. It has a maximum drop of 2-3/4 inches.
