Recommendation for Ball Mount and Hitch Ball to Tow Utility Trailer with 2005 Ford F-150
Question:
I own a 2005 F150. I have a draw-tight hitch with a 2 inch receiver. What hitch do I need for a Leonard Utility Trailer, tandem axle?

It sounds like you are just needing a ball mount and hitch ball for the 2 inch receiver on your 2005 Ford F-150. This will connect to the coupler on your Leonard Utility Trailer for towing.
To determine the correct ball mount for your setup, you will want to measure for the amount of rise or drop that you need to tow your trailer level. Starting with your F-150, you will take a measurement from level ground to the top of the 2 inch hitch receiver that you mentioned. Then on the trailer you will take a measurement from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. If the hitch height is greater, you will need a ball mount with a drop. If the coupler height is greater, you will need one with a rise. You will select a ball mount that has a rise or drop measurement closest to the difference between your two measurements. I have also attached an article that further explains this process that you can check out.
You will then just need to make sure you choose a hitch ball size that is compatible with your trailer coupler. The hitch ball size that the coupler takes should be listed somewhere on the coupler itself.
For example, the Brophy Ball Mount # BM20 is compatible with 2 inch trailer hitch receivers and features either a 3/4 inch rise or a 2 inch drop. For a 2 inch hitch ball you can add # 63845 or for a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball you can use # 19260.
