Can 2014 Vespa 300 Scooter Be Carried On Rear Of Class C Motorhome
Question:
I have a 2014 Leisure Van class C RV. I would like to carry a 2014 Vespa 300 GTS motor scooter on a hitch mounted carrier. I understand the carrier I need is the UF48-979033 correct? Do you have any other models that can be used on an RV? I would love one that has a small area for addition storage for light weight camping gear.

I called my contact at Ultra-Fab and asked about carrying your Vespa Scooter on the back of a Class C Motorhome. There are a few things to consider here.
First, what is the weight capacity of the trailer hitch you have on your motorhome. From my research I found your scooter has a dry weight of 326-lbs.
Second, how high is the receiver on the back of your motorhome. the ramp for the Ultra-Fab carrier # UF48-979033 is 39 inches long. If your receiver is 18-inches or more, the ramp will be at a pretty severe angle.
Last, if the motor on your scooter is at the rear, most of the weight would be on one side and not centered and at the rear of a motorhome and bouncing would more than likely fail.
I wish I had a better recommendation but carrying a scooter would pose the same issues on any carrier.
