Recommended Trailer Roof Vent for New Installation

I have a 2013 Featherlite 1610 12foot x 66inch trailer that I wanted to put a vent in. There is not an existing vent on it so I have some flexibility in that regard. Im also not sure how the wiring would be ran if I chose to use a powered vent. Thanks! great site

Many trailer roof vents share a common 14 x 14 measurement and these are intended for a rough roof opening of 14-1/4- x 14-1/4-inches. In this size we offer a wide range of manual and powered vents with both plastic and metal covers (metal is great if you're in hail country) and you can view these on the link provided.

You can use the filters on the page to select the attributes you like such as color and the powered fan feature. For example if you want a white cover (to let light in) and a 12V fan you might consider the Ventline # V2119-601-00 which includes a screen. Powering a 12V fan like this can be done either by installing a separate battery in the trailer or by connecting the fan to the 12V feed on your trailer 6-way or 7-way connector. The wiring for such installations is usually routed behind the wall and ceiling panels.

If you prefer a metal vent without a fan you could use Ventline # V2110SP-24. If you don't want to bother with dealing with a power feed for a vent you could install two vents like this one on different parts of the roof to provide passive cross-ventilation.

Vents do NOT include hardware or installation kits but we offer both. We offer kit # 344270KITW for roofs made of metal or coated metal roof and wood and kit # CAM25013 for rubber-coated roofs.

You'll want to install your vent(s) with the opening facing to the rear.
