I used this to install my new range vent and my shore line door. It worked very well and was enough to do both. The sealing tape is still holding up and the painted screws still are good and white and has not chipped as of yet.
Another good etrailer part

Worked great during installation of topper for our slide out on the camper. No issues noted to date and no leaks from screws being installed. Great product and assistance from Etrailer service.

Still going strong and no issues. Have made numerous trips camping for as long as 17 days on one trip and still no issues. Great products and expert assistance when needed by etrailer.

The best part of the Maxxair MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat Manual Lift 10 Speed was installing it myself. I had climbed to my van to it's perfect white metal roof. Run an extension cord. Plugged in the [hardware brand] jigsaw. Bzzzzz. Four inches of sliced virgin metal. Four inches of hole across the roof. An existential moment. No going back. No trial run. Only forward. Forward like the Merry Prankster's bus.

Only later did I realize the point of no return had long since past. It past when I drilled the pilot holes before making the crooked ragged jigsaw cuts.

Installation was empowering. It took me out of my comfort zone. Cutting a ragged hole in the roof changed the way I think about cars. And it all worked out. Installation was as straight forward as people say it is. The hardest part was my mental resistance to cutting the roof.

The vent doesn't leak. It moves air. It's quiet and does not draw much power. I love that it is reversible. At night, I set it to exhaust so light seeking moths don't die in the spinning blades. They are blown away instead of sucked in.

For the electrical. I fused both positive and negative off the battery. I ran the power wires through flex automotive conduit. I picked up the fusing, wire and flex conduit from my local Walmart after figuring out what I needed. The hard part of that was determining wire gauge based on the total length of the feeds. The length was longer than I would have guessed when I measured it.

And it all worked the first time I pushed the button. Great product. Great experience.

Very good product. Used it in several applications and have not had any problems.

Worked as advertised. Relatively easy installation and good fit. Seems well built - much better than the fan we replaced! We have a 2005 34' Holiday Rambler RV and our old fan had essentially disintegrated. We just wanted a no nonsense manual fan that could work with or without the roof vent open (didn't need another remote!). Probably not 100% required to get the Butyl Tape kit if you use sealant of another type but highly recommended to ensure a tight seal and avoid leaks in the future.

by:

Worked beautifully - pressed right in and conformed to the corrugations on my siding - great seal! I had removed all four vertical corner aluminum moldings on my TT; cleaned the siding; cleaned the molding/repainted. Re-installed with this new putty tape. Trimmed excess putty with Bondo plastic blade and the result was a professional finish. A year later the putty has not shifted or dried out (which was why I replaced in the first place). I dry camp in the hot Southwest a lot - so not having the putty dry out is paramount.

by:

Good quality and includes screws. Butyl tape arrived fresh and flexible and not dried out and hard as can happen with this product.

Its butyl tape.... still providing a great seal and does not appear to have hardened

I've ordered several times from etrailer.com and always been happy. First, it's good not to feed the [on-line retailer] beast. Second, etrailer.com's website always has good solutions rather than my local trailer supply store which can be expensive on certain things. I found a bearing kit on etrailer.com that is a great value and perfectly matched my old bearings. I got my local brake shop to press the new bearing races into the hubs and I saved over $300 by doing it myself with the help of etrailer.com.

by:

Used this to hopefully stop and leaks on the awning rail.

Very happy with installation kit, This makes installing the vent in my trailer very easy.

by:

The vent cover and the bathroom roof vent screen replacements were an exact replacement for my Arctic Fox. The putty tape was great. I couldnt be happier.

by:

It did the job for my camper vent install but the width was inconsistent. I ended up doing 2 side by side strips along the vent flange to ensure good coverage. In some place the width of this tape was so thin it didn’t cover the entire flange.

by:

Items arrived fast with regular ground shipping. The roof vent was a perfect fit and installed as expectd. The price was awesome; it was half the price as the vent at my local RV dealer. etrailer.com wil be my go to for all my replacement parts.

by:

I received the product in a timely manner in great condition. The fan installed exactly how it was described it worked exactly how I hoped etrailer is a great company to do business with they have great customer service, provide you with installation instructions and videos., and very reasonable prices I couldn’t ask for more .

by:

Excactly what I needed to replace the old vents in my trailer. The Free shipping is great.. It really makes a difference with whom I bought from. I spoke with a person on the phone before I ordered my products just to make sure it was everything I needed. she was courteous and thorough..It was her who suggested these butyl tape kits.. good job ! I will definitely be buying from etrailer again.

by:

Picked up a used camper last October. I knew the old vent lid had duct tape on the hinge, and it gave out last trip. Ordered this one last week, got it today and was able to pull the old fan and drop this one in in around 45 minutes. The old vent was only held on with some butyl tape and dicor it appears.
I did a quick test to see that the fan ran, but I haven't finished up the trim yet. I think I need to trim the skirt that comes with it, but first impressions are that it's a nice upgrade from the old vent.

by:

Still providing a seal to my slide topper bracket after one year, no discoloration noted..

by:

Worked great for the installation of the Mac air fan.

Bob

6/3/2019

Still keeping the water out.

by:

This worked well with my fan install on the rubber roof of the 5th wheel. Simple and necessary.

by:

This was what needed. I live in a manufactured home I looked all over for this vent not even the builder of my home could help me. Thank you etrailer. You should let manufactured home owners know of your replacement Parts. Thanks Again tom michaels.

by:

Good product at a good price. Easy to install. The box was damaged and the interior shroud was cracked. I was able to trim the damaged section off as it turned out to be excess to the installation process

by:

After watching installation video, the job went without a hitch.

by:

The product was what I had ordered. It was installed and works great. One thing that could be improved on is that I was short 5 screws so had to use some of the existing screws. It wasn't a big deal, I found 5 screws that were not rusted and had good tool well. I was impressed by the speed my product was shipped and delivered.

Thanks!

by:

product worked great, used it to install my new vent fan component. High quality and very sticky.

  • Bath Vent Cover for 2013 Winnebago Vista RV
I have a solution for you, but Winnebago and other RV/Trailer manufacturers are quite secretive about the specs on their OEM replacement parts, so unfortunately I'm not able to determine anything from the part number provided. Most RVs have a standard vent opening of 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" (with vent covers being 14"x14")- so replacement vent covers are fairly universal once you've determined that you have that sized opening. In order to determine the correct roof vent, measure where the vent...

For a slide-out awning like the Solera 6' Long Slider (Slide-Topper) in White w/ White Hardware # LCV000163274, you only need enough room to mount a rail if one isn't already present from the manufacturer. Most of the time the manufacturer already has the rail installed that you will use for a slide-topper like this. It only needs a slight drop for water run off purposes. I recommend using the Butyl tape # CAM25013 to ensure you have a good seal between your rail and camper.
