We have verified with Patriot Hitches that there are not different towing capacities and tongue weights based on the rise or drop of the Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter # PH54FR.
No matter which rise or drop position the hitch is, it has a maximum 7,000 lb towing capacity and 700 lb tongue weight capacity.
The Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter # PH54FR has up to an 11" rise or drop and a 2" receiver. view full answer...
If I am following you correctly, I think what you are looking for is a drop hitch that has a 2.5" shank for your truck and then the part that drops is a 2" receiver. So essentially a hitch reducer that also supplies a drop.
If that is correct, we do have a couple options.
- Gen-Y Phantom X Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # GY35XR (up to a 5" Drop)
- Gen-Y Phantom X Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # GY95XR (up to a 7-1/2" Drop)
Your other option would be to use a reducer sleeve like the Curt Hitch Receiver... view full answer...
The ball mount we offer for a 2 inch hitch that has the most drop is the part # BM10 which has a 10 inch drop. Then you could use a 4 inch high low adapter part # RM-048-4 to get the additional drop to get you close to the amount of drop you need. view full answer...
The largest drop available is 17-1/2 inches with the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers - 2" Hitch - 17-1/2" Drop # 325-GH-318, which has such a significant drop that you will need the Adjustable Stabilizer Bar Kit for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mounts with 2" Receivers # 325-GH-0100 to ensure stability.
The second-most drop 16 inches with the BulletProof Hitches Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # HD2016 (2 inch hitch), # HD2516 (2-1/2 inch hitch), or # HD3016 (3 inch hitch).

We can get you close to an 11 inch drop, but there isn't a ball mount that fits a 3 inch trailer hitch receiver that has that much drop; the most drop for a ball mount in that large a receiver is 10-5/8 inches, and there are also ball mounts with 10 inches of drop. These are the options for the ball mounts with the most drop for your 3 inch receiver:

Hey Ken,
Since there isn't a confirmed fitting custom-fit hitch for a 1994 Chevy Lumina APV Van the only option would be to install a weld-on adjustable-fit trailer hitch. We have a few different sizes depending on the drop you'll need to clear the rear fascia:

9" Drop # C47CR

These will fit an 18" to 44" wide frame width and any excess can just be trimmed... view full answer...
Hey Brian,
That is correct, manufacturers do not offer a bolt-on trailer hitch receiver for 2011 Ford Expedition models. You'll have to go with a weld-on hitch and would need to measure the distance between your frame down to clear the bumper so that you can choose the correct drop:

While there isn't an adjustable option, there are dual hitch adapters for flat towing that allow you to tow your vehicle and carry a bike rack at the same time. The right one just depends on the amount of rise or drop you need. Also keep in mind the use of an adapter will reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50 percent, and that the rise or drop will depend on the way the adapter is turned.

The hitch shank that you currently have, 63970, has been replaced by Reese Hitch Shank # RP54970. This hitch shank will provide 2 inches of drop using round bars and 1-/14 inch drop using trunnion bar on your weight distribution system.
The Curt Hitch Shank, # 17120, will increase the drop on round bars to 6-1/8 inches. If you use the trunnion bars, then the drop will increase to 5-3/4 inches. This shank will give you the 3 inch additional drop you are looking for on your towing rig. view full answer...
For a drop between 4-1/2" and 5-1/2" use the Cushioned Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 4-3/4" Rise - 6" Drop # AMSC6.
This will fit your 2" hitch and the only other things you will need are the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19260 OR 2" Hitch Ball # 63845 with Hitch Lock # e98880 OR Hitch Pin and Clip # 37201074. view full answer...
Hey Eric,
There aren't any custom-fit front mounted trailer hitches available for a 2004 Lexus GX 470 so you would need to go with an adjustable-fit weld-on trailer hitch. To do this you'll need to measure down from the frame to the location where you'd like the receiver tube to sit to figure out your drop. I've listed out the drops we currently offer below:

First Vohn, if you can tell me what weight distribution hitch you are using and how much drop you might need I can recommend a Drop Shank # EQ94FR to replace your current shank.
The Patriot Hitches Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter # PH67SR is one of the few options we have which will let you use a weight distribution hitch or even a ball mount. view full answer...
We have a few bolt-on hitches that could work with your 1989 Ford Cutaway Van Chassis, if the outside to outside frame width is around 42 inches. You'll also want to measure for the drop you need. The drop if the vertical distance from the underside of the frame members where the hitch would attach to the lowest portion of the back bumper. You'll want to choose a hitch with the proper amount of drop, so the receiver tube will clear the rear bumper.
If the drop is 1-1/2 inches or less,... view full answer...
Yes! What you need is a heavy duty receiver hitch welded onto your trailer to get that heavy weight capacity. I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990-07. It is a Class V hitch, but also has the 2" hitch receiver that is popular for hitch accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers.
With a 1,600 lb tongue weight capacity, this will be more than enough for your needs. This hitch # 41990-07 has a 7-inch drop which is determined by the mounting... view full answer...
Hi Stephen,
There isn't a custom-fit front hitch available but we do offer adjustable-fit weld-on trailer hitches that you can cut to fit your frame and weld in place. We offer a variety of drops so you'll want to do a bit of measuring on your Wagoneer to figure out the best drop to fit the receiver tube either through fascia or beneath it.

For your 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver, the shank with the most drop is the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 10" Rise/6" Drop # EQ90-02-4900. This will give you 2 inches more drop than the # EQ90-02-4800 you referenced.
Depending on your system you may alternatively be able to use a shank like the Reese Weight Dist Shank - Drop Only - 11" Long - 7-5/8", 8-5/8" Drop # RP3344 with a sleeve reducer like # 325-GH-007. This is not ideal but in some cases can work depending... view full answer...
Hi Kelly,
There unfortunately are no custom-fit front mounted trailer hitches available for Diesel models of the 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 so you would have to go with an adjustable-fit weld-on hitch and measure for the correct drop needed/check for any obstructions that could prevent fitment with the mounting brackets to the frame. Determining how to get the correct rise or drop is actually pretty simple and only requires two measurements. If you get the largest rise and drop you could wind up with more ball mount than necessary.
In order to choose the correct ball mount, there are a couple measurements you'll need to take. First, make sure both your vehicle and trailer are parked on level ground; you'll then want to measure from the ground to the top of the inside of your hitch receiver. Next, measure from the... view full answer...
The weight distribution shank we offer that has the most drop that fits a 2-1/2 inch hitch is the Curt Shank part # C17132 which has a drop of 9-1/4 inches. Depending on if you calculated the drop you need with the trailer's tongue weight on the hitch or not this could work. If you came up with 9 inches of drop with the tow vehicle unloaded 8 inches of drop might be right when the weight of the trailer is on the rear suspension.
Otherwise we have a 2 inch shank with 9 inches of drop as... view full answer...
