A Class I hitch like Curt part # 11128 which fits your 1990 Suzuki Sidekick must be used with only Class I-compatible accessories. This includes items like bike racks and hitch adapters. Since Car Top Cargo does not fit specific vehicles with their boxes you'll have to check out roof rack to know for sure if the Car Top Cargo Rooftop Cargo Box # CTC-18S will fit. As long as the crossbars are less than 3-3/4" wide x 1-3/16" tall and between 22 and 31 inches apart this box will fit and work well. We do have a wiring harness designed for your Equator but I spoke with my contact at Curt Manufacturing and found that the custom fit wiring, # 56087, is not recommended for the 2012 Suzuki Equator.
