We haven't yet had the chance to install either the Draw-Tite # 76290 or the Curt # C13421 on a 2019 Honda Passport, so those measurements aren't available to me, unfortunately. That being said, based on the photos I attached comparing the two, the receiver tube on the Draw-Tite hitch appears to be slightly higher and slightly shorter than the receiver tube on the Curt hitch. So, if you're looking for a hitch with the best ground clearance and that doesn't stick out much past the bumper,... view full answer...
According to my contact in the Tech Support department at Curt, a diode in the Curt 56421 harness which we sell as # CU86FR has shorted out which allows voltage to feed back into the trailer with the vehicle off. This is typically caused by a short circuit somewhere in the trailer wiring or by a dirty or corroded 7-way connector on the trailer. If the connector is showing green or white corrosion on the sockets, there's a good chance the corrosion has spread inside the connector which can... view full answer...
After doing some research The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13421 will be hidden the most compared to the other trailer hitches. The OEM hitch you can get from the factory is a little more hidden but barely. The Curt hitch will all be hidden besides the 2 inch receiver head.
I like the Curt hitch because it is manufactured in the USA, and has a bolt on installation with no welding required. To be able to tow your trailer you will also need The Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness # C56291.... view full answer...
The crossbar kit I'd recommend will depend on how often you'll use them, and whether or not you'll leave them in place on the roof for long periods of time when they're not being used.
If you won't use them frequently and won't leave them on the roof for months on end, the inexpensive Malone AirFlow 2 crossbar kit, part # MPG216 is what I'd recommend. The AirFlow 2 is an excellent product for its price, but in my opinion, it won't stand up to years of hard use.
If the crossbars will see... view full answer...
I can certainly understand wanting to save as much money as possible, but the only two trailer hitches that fit your 2019 Honda Passport are:
- Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76290
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13421
The reasons are tied into exactly what you referenced in the difference between the Pilot and Passport. Each trailer hitch is manufactured to fit specific vehicles, and this takes into account exacting details such as space between bolt holes, frame widths and parts... view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76290 is indeed confirmed to fit your 2019 Honda Passport. However, it does state that the hitch may interfere with the Hands-free Liftgate sensors and functionality may be very limited or possibly lost. The same is true for the Curt hitch # C13421 - the only other hitch that fits your Passport.
While we haven't had the chance to install either hitch, we've found that on vehicles with the Hands-free Liftgate feature, sometimes you have to... view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 76290 that fits your 2019 Honda Passport can interfere with the hands-free liftgate feature. You will likely have to kick your foot to one side of the receiver as opposed to the middle or it could be lost.
This is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver and a 6,000 lb towing capacity with a hefty 900 lb tongue weight capacity though you should always be sure to verify your Passport's towing capacity in your owner's manual.

Best solution is to replace the hitch you have on your 2019 Honda Passport that has the shallow hitch pin with the Draw Tite part # 76290 which is a confirmed fit and will let you use any bike rack you want like the Thule Apex Swing part # TH9027XT you referenced. This is going to allow to use the best bike rack for your application instead of being limited to the select few which are compatible with the shallow hitch pin and also will alleviate any other similar problems in the future... view full answer...
I reached out to my contact at Pollak and the Mounting Bracket and Installation Hardware - Pollak 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector - Vehicle End # PK12711U you were looking at includes four 3/16" x 5/8" long screws, four 3/16" nuts, and two #8 x 1/2" long self tapping screws.
I included a video of the # PK12711U for you to take a look at. view full answer...
Since the hitches that fit your 2021 Honda Passport are not rated for weight distribution use like the Draw Tite part # 76290 there isn't a system we can recommend to use with your vehicle as it may damage the vehicle frame due to the different stress these systems put on the vehicles.
You can use a friction sway control unit like the part # 83660 though to help prevent sway from passing vehicles and high winds. The best way to fight sway though is with proper trailer loading. Getting... view full answer...
For your 2020 Honda Passport, you will need to use a universal fit towing mirror because there are no custom fit mirrors available for your vehicle. The K-Source Mirrors part # KS3990 would be a really great option as they fit well on mirrors like what you have, are stable, and have two mirrors on each housing for increased visibility. view full answer...
For your 2021 Honda Passport the standard 4-way trailer wiring harness you'd want is the Curt T-Connector part # C56291 which installs very easily and has the most reliable converter box. If you needed to convert this to a 5-way then you'd need the part # C57187. I wasn't sure if that's what you meant so I figured I would add that info. There isn't a 5-way wiring kit for your vehicle (or any vehicle since it's pretty rare) which is why you have to first install a 4-way and then convert... view full answer...
Yes, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118291 for your 2020 Honda Passport will accept the Hopkins 7-way blade connector 48505. As we do not currently carry the 48505, the # HM48502 is the same connector with a glow feature to show the connector is powered.
You will need a Mounting Bracket # PK12711U for the 7-way connector. If using on a trailer with electric brakes I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 be installed with the Wiring Adapter # 3070-P for... view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 76290 that fits your 2019 Honda Passport will not interfere with the hands-free liftgate feature. You will likely have to kick your foot to one side of the receiver as opposed to the middle but aside from that the feature would still work.
If you were wanting to do some towing you'd also need trailer wiring like the Curt T-Connector part # C56291 which installs very easily and is very reliable.

The Yakima Roof Rack # Y00426 and # Y33TR is a great option. This rack features JetStream crossbars with an aero design that limits wind noise and also looks great on your 2019 Honda Passport. It has a very extensive history of reliable use and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs # TH898 is compatible with aero bars and will work great for loading a kayak on your roof. This kayak carrier is very popular for not only... view full answer...
The part you mentioned is just a single crossbar, and is not a fit for a 2020 Honda Passport, but there is an option for a roof rack for a 2020 Passport, so long as you have factory-installed rails that run front-to-back. If you do, the rack that fits is from Malone:
- Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MAL84AR
If you do NOT have raised side rails there isn't a flush-mounted option, but you can still add a high-quality rack from Yakima to your 2020 Honda Passport with the following parts:

Neither the Curt # C13421 or the Draw-Tite # 76290 Class III hitches would require any trimming or modification of the vehicle. Both hitches install in the same manner, bolting to the underside of the frame member, and both would appear pretty identical with only the receiver tube and safety chain loop being visible under the rear bumper.
Really the only appreciable difference between the two is that the Draw-Tite # 76290 includes a horizontal bracket welded to the hitch crossbar for... view full answer...
Both the Draw-Tite # 76290 and the Curt # C13421 Class III trailer hitches for your 2020 Honda Passport feature a hidden-crosstube design that keeps the main support hidden behind the bumper and leaves just the 2" receiver visible beneath it (see attached image). This is a bit different than the OEM version that actually protrudes through the bumper but it does still offer a really sleek appearance at a fraction of the cost.
Between these two options I recommend the Draw-Tite # 76290... view full answer...
A taillight converter combines 3 circuits, left turn signal, right turn signal and brake lamps into two circuits. Once installed, you'll have two circuits; left turn combined with brake lamp and right turn combined with brake lamp. This is necessary because the trailer uses a 2 wire system instead of the 3 wire system used on the tow vehicle.
I'd recommend the Tekonsha # 118291. The Passport is prewired for a brake controller so installation will be a plug and play proposition. For a fairly... view full answer...
In regards to the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # CU86FR, there are two white connectors. The larger rectangular connector contains the trailer lighting circuits and the smaller square connector contains the reverse sensor wire. If you don't have reverse sensors then you won't have to plug this into anything.
I think that is what you are asking but if not take a look at the installation instructions which are attached below. view full answer...
