The hands free lift gate sensor on your 2017 Lincoln MKX will still work after installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C78KR, but it will limit where your foot needs to be placed for the sensor to work.
You will want to place your foot on either side of the receiver, and move it in and out until the sensor recognizes your foot. After doing this a few times it will become second nature on where to place your foot for the sensor to work.

When we installed hitches on a 2013 Lincoln MKX/Ford Edge, we found that the receiver hitch pin hole was recessed under the rear bumper by about 5 inches. I was able to confirm that the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75679 is a fit for the 2019 Lincoln MKT which is the only option. It is a great option with a custom fit design that does not require drilling into the frame of the Lincoln MKT.
