  • Recommended Hitch for a Bike Rack on a 2022 Coachman Cross Trail 20CB Motorhome
  • I have a solution for you but there's no way to convert a class I receiver to a class II and definitely not to a class III. You are in luck though there is a custom fit hitch available for your Coachman Cross Trail Motorhome. It is the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver item # E-100. This hitch bolts directly to your 4" square channel bumper. It has a 2" receiver and boasts a 350 lbs tongue weight capacity. I recommend verifying that your bike rack is rated to be used behind a motorhome...

  • How to Install the Lend-A-Hand with a Backing Plate
  • Installing the Lend-A-Hand # AM-200 using a backing plate would disperse the force across a wider area than if simply installed using bolts into the metal/fiberglass panels, so spreading that weight across a larger area is how you avoid damaging the wall. If you can't locate a door stud to install this into, your best bet would be to use a backing plate that was larger than the area that you're installing the handle to; this unit is 24" tall, so I'd recommend using a plate that was at least...

  • Can this Light Fixture be Shortened
  • The Gustafson RV LED Pendant Light part # 277-000451 has a rod that is threaded on both ends to accommodate the nut that holds the pieces together. Shortening it is possible but not an easy task. You would need to disassemble the fixture. Cut the tube down to you desired length. Then you would have to use a tap and die set to replace the threads back on to the rod which is where the difficulty would come in.

  • How To Switch A MaxxAir MaxxFan Out Of Auto Mode
  • To exit the Auto Mode on your MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # MA00-04000K press the ON/OFF key. The green LED next to the Auto button will be lit while in Auto Mode and off when in manual mode. If you decide you want to go back in Auto Mode you'll want to press and hold the Auto button once for less than three (3) seconds, three (3) quick beeps will confirm the MAXXFAN has entered Auto Mode and the green LED will light up. I've sent in an update to get the manual...

  • Can the Gustafson RV LED Ceiling Light be Separated to be Painted?
  • On the Gustafson RV LED Ceiling Light w/ Shade part # 277-000469-499 it can pretty easily be disassembled for painting and reassembled. There are a few screws holding it together but it would be something you can do with very common hand tools.

  • How To Change the Oil in the 3,200-Watt Portable RV Inverter Generator
  • I have attached for you below the oil change procedure for the 3,200-Watt Portable RV Inverter Generator part # 333-0003 which was pulled direclty from the owner's manual. The owner's manual is attached below for you as well. In order to get all of the old oil out, you do indeed need to tilt the generator on it's side. While you are at it, I'd also check the air filter as well and replace if needed using part # 333-330723578 and the spark plug part # 333-330723557.

  • How To Install Steps on a 2016 Coachmen Leprechaun 317SA
  • I spoke with Lippert about the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Frame 28 Series Step part # LC3747457 and unfortunately, they do not provide any mounting information as this is done through the trailer manufacturer. They did however state that you should not have too many issues so long as the surface in which the steps attach to is sturdy. Please note that the above part is for the frame only, if you need the motor/control board etc. then you would want to use the Lippert Kwikee 38 Series...

  • Is There a Brake Controller Plug on a 2004 Coachmen Sport Elite Freightliner XC Chassis
  • Thank you for the photo! The plug that you found if the "Daytime Running Lights" module and is unfortunately unrelated to the brake controller wiring. Your 2004 Coachmen Sport Elite motorhome is on a Freightliner XC chassis which has no provisions for a brake controller but we do carry the parts you need to install a brake controller. If you already have a 7-Way installed on your motorhome then you need to route 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 and some Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 from the pin in...

  • Installing An Advent Air RV Air Conditioner On A 2019 Coachmen Clipper Express Camper
  • Installing your Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 13,500 Btu - White # ACM135 backwards could result in damage to the unit. Air going the reverse way would blow through the condenser vents backwards trapping dirt and debris in them instead of pushing it out and would cause the fan to rotate backwards. AC units are meant to only go one way so I do not recommend placing it backwards on your 2019 Coachmen Clipper Express Camper

  • Is Longer Valterra Sewer Hose Carrier Needed
  • No you aren't missing anything; if the 34" to 60" Valterra RV Sewer Hose Carrier # A04-3460 doesn't have the proper length for your RV, then you will need to go with the longer option. There isn't an 8 foot carrier, but there is one that is close, the adjustable 50" to 94" Valterra RV Sewer Hose Carrier # A04-5094. I have added links below to a pair of video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.

  • Can Trailer Pre-Wired For Voyager Camera Use Furrion Camera
  • The plugs are different, but if you like you can still use the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System w/ Night Vision - Rear Mount - 5" Screen # FOS05TASF. To do this you would need to wire it yourself as opposed to using the pre-wiring for the Voyager system. Otherwise, if you want to use the pre-wiring on your trailer you will need to stick with the Voyager system that works: - Voyager WiSight 2.0 Wireless Backup Camera System w/ Night Vision for Prewired RV - 4.3" Screen...

  • How to Find Studs in an RV for Installing an Exterior Ladder
  • Yes, you will need to know where the studs/blocking are within the walls of your RV prior to installing the Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder part # LA-401. The studs could either be metal or wood, it just depends on what the manufacturer used at the time. The easiest way to find them would be with an electronic stud finder rated for both metal and wood. However, if you look for the rivets that join the panels together that should give you a good idea where the studs are as well. If...

  • Correct Way to Angle Lippert Shock Kit on Single Axle Trailer
  • According to the installation instructions for the Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit w/ Heavy Duty Gas Shocks # LC281255 you need to follow this note: - NOTE: Mount shocks pointing outward (Fig.7) (away from the shackle kit, equalizer and/or center point) to get the best performance from the shocks. So you'll want the bottom of the shock facing the center of your trailer for a single axle application. Your axles should be behind the center of your trailer so I believe you'll want the bottom...

  • How to Obtain Brake Light Signal in 2018 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Chassis
  • The ground (cold side) of the brake light signal in a Sprinter can sometimes be found in the wiring above the brake pedal. A high-sensitivity LED circuit tester will be required to test this due to the weak signal strength in this wire. This is due to the low voltages in this vehicle's wiring system. In other cases you may need to install an accessory stop light switch kit # RM-751475 to provide that brake light signal needed to trigger a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 # 90195.

  • Replacing 15-Tooth Gear on Lippert Slide-Out Gear Pack
  • Replacing the 15-Tooth Gear # LC101941 on your existing slide-out gear pack isn't too difficult at all. Once you access the gear pack (make sure to safely support the slide-out room) it is just a matter of knocking out one of the pins that hold the gear and rollers into place. With the pin removed the rollers and gears will slide right off and you can replace the gear with the new unit.

  • Can A TV With No RCA Jacks Be Connected Through A Stereo To Use External Speakers
  • To transfer sound from TV to Stereo speakers it would require RCA ports. The HDMI and USB are for Video. If the photo you included is the back of the TV then you have RCA ports. If that is the back of the stereo and your TV has no RCA ports then it will not work. If you wanted to hook up like an external surround sound system to a TV to get the sound through the speakers it would require the red and white RCA cables. Red is left side and white would be right side and is normally for audio...
