Video Transcript for Excalibur Tires and Wheels 319EZ Review

Today we're going to review part number 319EZ. This is the Excalibur chrome trailer wheel center cap for a 3.19 size diameter wheels. This is made of a chrome plated steel. This chrome cap adds a nice decorative finishing touch to your trailer wheels. It is designed to fit on wheels that have a pilot hole diameter, which is the largest center hole in the wheel that measures 3.19 inches. Basically, there's also a plastic plug right in here on the top that makes the cap easy to work if you have an easy lube back sleeve.

You just pop this middle part out. I'll show you this in a minute. This part is for a quantity of one cap with the plug. A few dimensions on this, the inside diameter on this cap is about 3 and 1/8 inches. And the overall height, from the bottom to the very top, is about 3 and 1/2 inches. Now basically, when you go to install this ...

I got an example of a white spoke which is a common trailer wheel that you will see a lot of. And this wheel has the pilot hole diameter, which is this large holder of 3.19 inches. So this cap is designed to fit in here. Basically what you would do .. if you notice on the cap, it has a little ridge right here.

Before you put your wheel and tire on the trailer, you'll just take the cap, run it through the back, all the way through and then you'll go ahead and mount this up on your hub and then put your lugs on it and that will hold the cap into place. And then as I mentioned, there is a little notch, throw the plug there, there it is. You'll be able to put a screwdriver in. And if you put the screwdriver in, you can see that you can just pop out that center cap and then that will give you the access to your . if you have EZ lube axles that have the grease fitting on the end, that will give you access to them. And when you're done, just go ahead and pop your center cap back on.

But that should do it for the review on part number 319EZ. This is the Excalibur chrome trailer wheel center cap for the 3.19 pilot size diameter wheels. .

Trailer Wheel Center Cap, Chrome, 3.19" Pilot Size - 319EZ

Wheels with mounted tires arrived in a fairly reasonable time frame. Quality appears quite good. Communications with etrailer are great.

by:

The caps looked great when installed, and the fit was fine. However, a year later, all four show signs of rust, some more than others. It's disappointing, since these were primarily purchased to improve the appearance of the wheel hub. The photo shows the worst of the bunch. I'd love to replace them with a better quality product.

Honestly the chrome plate cap does provide some rust protection however can rust over time. I recommend going with a stainless-steel cap like part # LHCS102-SI60C. It also works with the 3.19 pilot hole diameter.

by:

Center cap was perfect replacement. Haven't driven on the wheels/tires yet, but they look great and a nice improvement ! Thanks !

Still look great and working well.

by:

The original Caps that came with the order were fine, However these were for the second trailer. I GOT THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE. GEESH A MONTH LATER????

ALSO WHO IN THE WORLD SPENDS 1000 PLUS DOLLARS ON TRAILER WHEELS AND RIMS THAT COME MOUNTED WITHOUT BEING BALANCED.

THATS RIDICULOUS TO MOUNT AND SELL A TIRE WITHOUT BALANCING IT. I WONT BE BACK BECAUSE OF THAT STUNT. I BOUGHT TIRES AND WHEEL PACKAGE THERE BEFORE AND IT CAME BALANCED.

NEVER AGAIN.

The tires with rims that we carry are only balanced by matching the high spot on the tire with the low spot on the rim. This is typical with trailer tires are unlike with passenger style vehicles in that that the main responsibility is supporting a load behind a tow vehicle, not providing a smooth ride for passengers. You can have the tires balanced if you prefer. Just keep in mind that trailer wheels are centered by the position of the lug bolts [these wheels are lug-centric] and not the center bore of the wheel. For best results, have them balanced using a pin plate adapter. This mimics the way a lug-centric wheel is mounted to a hub.

Justin received my second call, very quickly figured out what I needed, and we completed the order, which I received in good order. He knows his stuff; the entire experience was enjoyable. Now if the tpms I ordered from another company was as giod and would ever show up I'd be thrilled.

by:

Product has clear defects. Should have been caught if there was any quality control procedures. Shipping was spotty. Took over 10 days to receive, tracking didn’t work and the solution was to “just wait to see if it arrives”.

by:

New rims wrapped in Goodyear Endurance

by:

came packages in box. also has removable cap for easy access to grease bearing.

by:

These trailer wheel center caps were the perfect replacement for my damaged originals. Now I don't have to take the wheels off to grease the bearings! The price and quality were great.

by:

The fit was perfect.

by:

The wheels are beautiful as expected. The packaging to ship the wheels and tires were excellent. Someone put the center caps in with the wheels in one of the boxes. Not so good. 1 got smashed and the other two were scuffed. 1 of the caps had a black cap on it instead of chrome like the other two were. Lug nuts sent were mismatched, some were longer then the others. Must be a quality shipping preparation error. The worst part is these aluminum wheels and tires were mounted but they do not balance them. Customer service said they do not balance them when I called them on 6-9-23. Even generic modular wheels and tires I have received comes balanced. I will take them and have them balanced so life expectancy for them will be possible. Hopefully they stand behind there quality control damaged items. Good folks to work with, fast shipping and great shipping communication to here.

Purchased aluminum rims and hubs for my homemade teardrop trailer. Look and fit perfect. Excellent customer service as i had originally forgot to order the center hubs. Simple phone call and they were on their way.

by:

All the parts arrived in great shape and the hub covers are bright chrome and so are the lug nuts. I couldn't keep the cheap plastic hub caps on that came with the trailer. They kept falling off. I am totally satisfied and this is not my first purchase with etrailer.

by:

Decent price fast shipping.

by:

great match for the wheels and tires that also came from etrailer

by:

I got a new trailer and it looked so plain, called etrailer and they hooked me up. The wheels and accessories got here in two days as they said in perfect condition. Just what I wanted, will get more stuff from them for sure

by:

These are the wheel caps I ordered and installed on my trailer that I built. They are great and add a great accent to the wheels. Thank you for such a great product!

by:

Hi: I received my order on time - but what can I say about the center caps - they're silver, shiny, and fit. they should protect the hubs on my trailer just fine. Thanks,
Marv

by:

These are a perfect fit and look great! I'm finishing up refurbishing an old cub scout trailer and these really made the new paint on the rims pop! Well worth the price!

by:

These chrome center wheel caps are great! Exactly as described!! Very high quality!

by:

Look nice but are lightweight and not sure how they will last. At their price replacing them not an issue.

Please do not pack these loose in the box with wheels because they get smashed. I was able to bring mine back to shape but it was disappointing to receive new items smashed.

by:

Great company to deal with staff is very knowledgeable fast shipping it’s the only trailer company I like to buy from.

  • Availability of Americana AM25DR Sendel Series T07 Trailer Rim in 14 x 6 Size
I don't offer a rim like the # AM25DR Aluminum Sendel Series T07 in a 14x6, in fact none of the 14 inch aluminum trailer wheels we offer are available in a 6-inch width. The good news is that a 215/75-14 tire can be safely mounted on a 5, 5-1/2, 6 or a 6-1/2 inch wide rim, so your existing tires would work perfectly on the 5-1/2 inch wide # AM25DR rim you were interested in. The wheel does not include center cap, and the valve stem is sold separately as part # AM20904. For a center cap,...

  • How To find The Correct Center Cap For 5.30-12 Trailer Tires
To find the correct center caps for your trailer wheels I'll need to know the pilot hole diameter. These is the center hole that the spindle sits through on the wheel. Typically with a 5.30-12 tire you're going to have either a 2.84" or 3.19" pilot hole. For a 2.84" pilot hole you could use the Americana Trailer Wheel Center Cap - Chrome Plated - 2.80" to 2.84" Pilot # AM90113. For a 3.19" pilot hole you could use the Trailer Wheel Center Cap, Chrome, 3.19" Pilot Size # 319EZ.
