What All is Need for Flat Towing a 2014 Mazda CX-5?
Question:
Best way to tow behind a 35 ft. motorhome? What wheel drive must it be to be towed by a dolly?

Expert Reply:
To tow your 2014 Mazda CX-5 behind your motorhome, it will require a few things.
First, your CX-5 must be equipped with standard front-wheel drive. If your Mazda CX-5 has AWD, it should get towed with all four wheels off of the ground.
Next, the Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly # DM9713093 will have disc brakes, offering superior stopping abilities. The tilting bed frame also allows for easy loading and unloading of the vehicle. The only downside to this option will be that it takes up a fair amount of space when stored. The Kar Kaddy SS # DM9713045 is a foldable option and will take up much less room when storing.
The only other things you will need will be a ball mount with 2 inch ball attached, like the Curt # C45154, and a 7 Way to 4 Way adapter like the # PK12716 if you do not have a 4 Flat on your RV already. Please keep in mind that the # C45154 is an example and you may need more drop or possibly rise to get everything nice and level.
