Radial tire has a ply rating of 10 and a 3,500-lb maximum load at 90 psi. The 16" x 7" aluminum trailer wheel has a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern. Clear-coated, matte-black finish provides rust resistance. Meets DOT specifications.

This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Karrier ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in a load range E mounted on this 16 inch matte black aluminum wheel with the 6 on 5.5 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and even campers. The wheel is a Sendel Series T17 aluminum wheel. This is a mesh style design wheel that has a matte black finish to it. Also, if you notice the front of the wheel and even the back of the wheel are clear coated for protection.
Now, the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna order one that will have the diameter of this pilot hole that it'll fit through. So when you install your center cap, it goes through this hole. So the diameter of this pilot hole is 3.75 inches.
The diameter on the wheel is gonna be 16 inches. The width on just the wheel is seven inches wide. Now, this wheel does have a bolt pattern of 6 on 5.5 inches. And if you wanna measure that on the wheel that's an even amount of lugs, it's pretty easy because if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other. So you just pick any of the holes, let's say this one, and then you'll measure directly across to the hole right across from it center to center.
On this, it'll measure 5-1/2 inches. So you have a six-lug 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. So let's you use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20 or 9/16 by 18. And the weight capacity on just the wheel is 3,750 pounds. The tire is a Kenda Karrier special trailer radial tire.
It is a special trailer design because it'll couple the strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radial tire. And it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. Does use double steel belts and full nylon plies, which combine for superior function and long life. If you look at the tread, it is a nice computer-generated tread design with premium rubber compound materials that give you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. Now the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, right up here, it'll be ST for special trailer 235/80R16. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width 9.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top where it's inflated is 30.8 inches. And this is a load range E tire, which means it has a 10 ply rating, has a maximum load of 3,500 pounds at 90 PSI. And one of the last things I wanna mention, most all your new trailer tires are coming through with speed rating stamped on them and it's stamped with a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size we went over, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then a letter M at the very end. That speed rating M will mean it has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. And this assembly does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications. But that should do it for the review on the Kenda Karrier ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in the load range E on a 16 inch matte black aluminum wheel.
