Video Transcript for MORryde Tandem Axle Trailers AllTrek 4000 Equalizers Review

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the MORryde AllTrek 4000 Suspension Equalizer. Now our previous equalizer here you can see that it does have rubber and that's gonna allow this to kind of move up and down and have that cushion. These are pretty loose here, which is fine. It does have that movement and each of them are about I'd say an inch and a half. So you have some movement up and down and that's where putting it side by side you can see the AllTrek is not only it seems like it's a little bit taller but that's because you have four inches of movement here because you have this rubber that's supporting that weight, and as this moves up and down it's gonna be nice and even it's not gonna be sloppy and you're gonna get more of that suspension travel which allows your suspension to move a little bit more giving you a better ride overall. And that's gonna not only make for a smoother ride and kind of just be easier on your camper and it's contents but also that's gonna transmit all of that energy up to the pin box.

So it's really gonna cut down on that porpoising because the suspension can kind of settle out and take those bumps away from your connection point. Now this is bolt on installation. In fact, you can reuse your old wet bolts. What I've found, you might wanna pick up a new wet bolt kit while you're here. That way you have, you know, all new components a new hardware in place.

Now it's not required to have a crossmember kit as well. We are gonna be putting one on here. So yours may not look like this but it is not required to get this installed. Not only are you gonna get more suspension travel allowing the suspension to work better but you also have 40% more rubber absorbing those shocks. It's also gonna be progressive so as it kind of presses up, it's gonna fight against that and really settle out the suspension.

So having a little bit more cushion and more travel just means that suspension can really do what it needs to do. Now this does come as a quantity of two so it's gonna allow you to get your tandem axle set up with the one kit. But if you do have a triple axle you are gonna wanna pick up another kit. That way you can get all of your equalizers done. Installation is pretty straightforward.

You are just kind of bolting it in and you will have to get your old wet bolts out which kind of can be a struggle. And you will have to obviously take your wheels off and be able to support the axles. Might wanna have a floor jack ready too just to kind of move it as you need to to get some of your hardware in place. But overall, it's not too bad to do. Now here's what they're gonna look like installed and this is gonna be a great pretty easy upgrade to install. It's gonna give you a lot better suspension because of the ability to have a little bit more travel. And that just means a better towing experience overall. And that was a look at the MORryde AllTrek 4000 Suspension Equalizer.

Paul was super helpful in getting my order filled properly and delivered in a timely manor. I am excited to install the product on our 5th Wheel to get a smoother ride with more security on the springs. The increased travel and sturdiness of this product is something I know will make our trips more enjoyable and give us that extra peace of mind.

  • Do Leaf Springs Need to be Changed Going to AllTrek 4000 Equalizers
Hi David; nope, the leaf springs don't need to be changed if going to the AllTrek 4000 equalizers. You just need to choose the right one based on your wheelbase (measured center-to-center of your wheels): - 33" Wheelbase: MORryde AllTrek 4000 Shock Absorbing Equalizers # MR89DR - 35" Wheelbase: MORryde AllTrek 4000 Shock Absorbing Equalizers # MR29DR

  • How To Select The Correct MORryde AllTrek Equalizer For a Tandem Axle Trailer
The best way to find the correct replacement for your equalizer is by measuring the distance from the front shackle hole to rear shackle hole on your current equalizer. The 33" AllTrek # MR89DR has the holes spaced 6-1/2" on center while the 35" AllTrek # MR29DR spaces the holes 8" on center. While the MORryde qualifier is very helpful I find that measuring is best since different trailer manufacturers do not always follow the same practices for welding on the spring hangers and setting...

  • What Is The Correct MORryde X-Factor Crossmember For An AllTrek 4000 Equalizer
Since the MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers # MR29DR sits inside the middle hanger like a standard equalizer you'd want to use the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember for Standard Frame Hangers # MR33WR. This crossmember will use your wet bolt and come with two other bolts and a shackle strap in clamp onto the hanger. I've attached a short installation video below where I'll walk you through the installation process of the # MR33WR.

  • Upgrading Suspension Equalizers On 2018 Prime Time Trace Air 275 Travel Trailer
Hey Scott, I can certainly point you in the right direction for picking out an equalizer upgrade kit for your 2018 Prime Time Tracer Air 275 travel trailer. You will need to measure your wheel base (aka axle spacing) to determine if you need MORryde ALLTREK 4000 Shock Absorbing Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 33" Wheelbase - 8K # MR89DR or the 35" Wheelbase version # MR29DR. This measurement is the center of the front axle to the center of the rear axle. For the wet bolt kit, I...

  • Will Replacing MORryde CRE3000 Equalizers With The AllTrek 4000 Affect Ride Height
Hey Drue, The MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers # MR27ZR and MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers # MR29DR both have the same 8" eyelet to eyelet measurement and only a 1/2" height measurement distance (not including the travel feature of the # MR29DR) so you shouldn't really see a difference in ride height at all when swapping the equalizers out. If you haven't replaced your equalizers before and are wanting to do this yourself then I recommend checking out Brad's video below...

We do carry the MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR29DR. This is going to be their 35" wheelbase version which is going to be 8" from center of front shackle mounting hole to the center of the rear shackle mounting hole. I recommend pairing this with one of their shackle kits. • Cushioned Equalizer that Could Fit 2019 Coachmen Apex 300BHS
There is a really good chance the Lippert Road Armor cushioned equalizer part # LC696740 will fit your 2019 Coachmen Apex 300BHS but you will want to measure your current equalizers to be sure. If your current equalizers has 6 inches between the outside holes (or pretty close to that) this will fit and work great. This was designed to be as universal as possible so there's a really good chance this is correct fit. It will also not raise height either. If the distance you measured is more...

I can get the parts from that video but what I don't know 100% is the bolt size on that brake kit. Based on our own installation video I believe it is the 1/2". It is also worth noting that the brakes are designed for 7k axles with # 25580 inner and # 14125A or # 02475 outer bearings. For the brake kit it is one of the following: -DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Maxx Coating - 1/2" Bolts - 7K # DE53YR -DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - Maxx Coating...

  • Is MORryde Rubber Suspension MR29DR Upgrade Over E-Z Flex Equalizers For 5th Wheel Trailer
The E-Z Flex equalizers like the # K71-653-00 are a nice system, but for your Coachmen Chaparral 391QSMB 5th wheel trailer, the MORryde suspension system you mentioned will absolutely be an upgrade: - MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 35" Wheelbase # MR29DR The MORryde kit is an improvement over the E-Z Flex due to the amount of travel. There is very little, if any, axle travel improvement with the E-Z Flex, so while its rubber core helps with road shock, it doesn't...

  • Is It Okay To Mix & Match Lippert Cushioned Equalizers With MORryde Shackles On Tandem Axle Trailer?
It is okay to mix and match the Lippert Road Armor # LC696740 with the MORryde 2-1/4" # MR46ZR or 3-1/8" # MR76ZR shackle straps. The MORryde shackles are superior in construction to the Lippert kits we currently carry. MORryde did just release their MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers # MR29DR. These provide up to 4" of suspension travel in the equalizer alone which is much greater than than Lippert offerings. We have installed this on a few trailers so far in our shop and have been very happy...

  • Comparing MORryde AllTrek and SRE4000 Premium Rubber Suspension Equalizers
The MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR29DR are the new upgrade to their counterpart - the MORryde Premium Rubber Suspension Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers MR47ZR. According to MORryde, the AllTrek has been through more intense testing than any of their other equalizer systems and since it doesn't have to have the crossmember that's just an added bonus. Unless you like the idea of having that extra crossmember, I recommend going with the AllTrek.

  • MORryde Suspension Kit, Shackle Straps & SumoSprings For 6k Axles w/ 35 Wheelbase
I certainly don't blame you for wanting to get it right the first time, and the answer to each of your questions is yes, it will all work together, though there are a couple of things you'll want to be certain to verify. But first, for the equalizer upgrade and crossbeam, for your 35" wheelbase (which you measured correctly from center to center of your wheels) you do have the correct part for your 6k axles: - MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR29DR With that,...

  • Availability of MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers for Triple Axle Trailer
Hi Greg; the MORryde AllTrek 4000 is only available for a tandem axle application. Assuming you have a 35" wheelbase I recommend the MORryde # MR39ZR instead. You really wouldn't notice a difference between the two once they're installed on your 5th wheel. The most important thing in this case is matching up the wheelbase. While you're at it, I also recommend adding the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit. This comes with wet bolts, bronze bushings, and 1/2" thick shackles. If your current...

  • Are ALLTREK 4000 Cushioned Trailer Suspension Equalizers the Best Available
The AllTrek 4000 kits provide the best cushioning so if you were to upgrade from your CRE3000 kit to the Alltrek you would see a big improvement. If you have a 35 inch wheelbase you'd want the part # MR29DR or if you have a 33 inch wheelbase you'd need the part # MR89DR. These kits have vertical and horizontal cushioning unlike all other options so they are going to make a huge improvement.

  • Replacement Pin Box Option For A Lippert Turning Point Rotating Pin Box
The Lippert Turning Point has a specific bolt pattern that only has one replacement so far, the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY48GR. This is a gooseneck adapter though so you'd have to switch out the hitch for a gooseneck ball for this to work. The torsion head will help reduce road shock and chucking transferred to your truck so it is worth considering, but you'll also be moving your pivot point back to the truck so you could run into clearance issues if...

First the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shock Absorbers # RM-2460-2570 which I see you already found is one option.
