Excellent Corrosion Resistance

The simple truth is that salt can be highly corrosive to metal when exposure lasts for an extended period of time. So, the more you tow around it, the more you need to protect your trailer from it. The Z-Max zinc finish on this jack offers great corrosion protection, even with occasional use around saltwater.

Rust-resistant coatings are graded according to a salt spray rating. Basically, this rating shows the amount of time it takes for a material to show signs of corrosion when exposed to pure, continuous salt spray. Traditional zinc plating typically begins to deteriorate after about 100 hours. Dacromet usually lasts for around 300 to 400 hours. Fulton's Z-Max finish lasts for 600 hours in the salt spray test - 30% longer than a standard powder coat finish.

The environment this test creates is much harsher than anything you'll ever experience in your journeys, but it provides a testament to how well this jack resists rust and corrosion.

How to Determine the Lift Capacity You Need in a Jack

A trailer jack lifts your trailer high enough at the tongue to allow you to couple it with your vehicle. Usually, your tongue weight is about 10-15% of your gross trailer weight (GTW). For example, a 10,000-lb trailer has a tongue weight of 1,000 lbs to 1,500 lbs. To raise the tongue of a trailer this size, you'd need a jack that can handle a static load of no less than 1,500 lbs. And, yes, it's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time fishing.

VERY WELL MADE, WORTH THE EXTRA $. GREASE FITTING IS GOOD WAY TO SERVICE AND EXTEND JACK LIFE. REPLACED A 27 YEAR OLD BASIC FULTON THAT FAILED.

by:

This product has proven durable and easy to use. Installation with simple and straight forward. If you're looking for a robustly built, long lasting Jack for your boat this would be THE product you're looking for. We previously purchased other jacks that did not last, became hard to crank, and ultimately failed. I'm glad I purchased this.

This Jack Still functions smoothly and is easy to use.

by:

Had a Fulton marine jack on my trailer but the yard where I keep it moved trailers without properly raising the jack. Destroyed the crank mechanism and bracket. Purchased this heavier duty jack (boat is 4,500 lbs) and it installed easily and works smoothly. Quick shipment from etrailer.

Still working well and this heavy duty jack was the right one for my size trailer.

by:

Fast and easy

by:

Very heavy duty jack!!! Replaced a topwind a-frame jack with this one so I wouldn’t have to worry about any dents in my tailgate. I mounted in-wards so you can still raise/lower the Jack from the drivers side. etrailer got this to me in 2 days, great company!!!

Excellent product! Installation was a breeze, and it looks and works like a charm.

The product is exactly what I needed for my trailer. Also, the service/communication with etrailer was excellent. I emailed about the shipping state and got numerous emails back with that information plus much more.

This was a GREAT experience.

I currently have the Fulton 3500 lb capacity Magnum Series trailer jack. Would the 5,000 cap jack replace my jack? The trailer is 3 x 4 where the current jack is mounted. Also, are there any additional items I need to purchase to mount the new jack? Thanks for any info!Billy

The Fulton Marine Jack, part HD50000101, comes with three sets of U-bolts to fit different trailer frame sizes. Obviously it is not an exact replacement, the difference in weight capacity, but it will fit a 3x4 inch trailer frame. The U-bolts are designed to fit, 4, 5 and 6 inch tall frames, so you will need the smallest set.

It works perfectly. Easy to use and very well built.

Fast shipping, good price love the product, thank you so much!

Top notch trailer jack. Easy to use. It replaced a welded on trailer jack on our 16' trailer that we use to haul drums of maple syrup to market.

The rapid shipping and personal follow up were a welcomed surprise.

I will always consider etrailer for my future needs. Great customer service.

Excellent product. I pull a trailer every day. This jack is absolutely great.

After going through three trailer jacks in almost as many years, I tried this Fulton jack. It has been great! Solid, dependable, works like a champ every time. I highly recommend it.

A year later this product is still great!

by:

I bought this jack last year to supplement my jack with the wheel on it. To get my boat in the garage I have to use a 3 inch drop and since the driveway slopes downward I only have about 8 inches of clearance to the ground. This jack lets me get the boat all the way in the garage AND can still get the trailer on and off the hitch.

by:

I bought new tires and galvanized rims for my snow mobile trailer and boat trailer.
After one year I am still happy with my purchase. I also bought the Fulton 5K marine jack
And love it. I haven't had any trouble at all with tires, rims, or Jack.
Service was great too!

by:

this jack is heavy duty and has a good outside coating that should last for years. I have it mounted on a trailer with the top of the draw bar around 19" off the ground . If the trailer has a low draw bar you may need to mount this higher for ground clearance. Great product ,very strong , easy to crank up loaded and the quick drop foot is much faster then cranking .

by:

Great jack for my boat trailer! Very well built and beefy! Much better than many on the market. The drop down feature is very handy. Highly recommended...

by:

Quality product. Built extremely solid, excellent welds, smooth crank, mounting plate holes are deberred, in fact I could not find a burr anywhere. I purchased 2 of these for a project and found they have great adjustability. The mounting "U" bolts supplied are for 3 different size trailer tongues and are 1/2" dia. These lifts certainly appear to be able to handle their 5000# rating.
Etrailer shipped the order the next day. The product was well protected, Three layers of cardboard. The order arrived in excellent condition.

by:

This jack is heavy duty and was easy to install. I have a saltwater boat that we trailer to and from the bay each time we go fishing and the salt is tough on gear. So far the unit has lasted a full year without significant rust accumulation or malfunction. 2 years seems to be the typical life of most components, however, so next year will be the test.

by:

There is nothing wrong with the jack itself. Very easy to lift the trailer tong and really smooth compare to old jack. I would give it 5 stars. However I could not mount it because U-bolts provided are about 1/2" short. And it is OK too, things happen. The problem is there is no any information whatsoever about mounting dimensions or bolt sizes and specifications. For that matter installation instructions enclosed are for the different type of jack.See attached photos. Now I have to play guessing games is it 7/16" diameter or else? Is it 4" or 4 1/16" wide, what kind of thread? In other words instead of what would be a simple procedure for tightening 4 nuts I need to spend time and more money to finish installation. In fact back in April I asked these questions and never got any clear and Intelligence answer from etrailer "experts". Why is it difficult to provide this information?

by:

I received the package this afternoon and installed it on my boat trailer. I have a heavy aluminum river boat with some t-1 plate on the bottom. I needed a jack stand that was stable when the boat is on the trailer. This product works well and I will be recommending it to my fellow guides here on the Salmon River here in Idaho.

by:

Product as advertised, very sturdy and easy to mount to trailer with all the different U-bolts supplied with the jack. You Just have to pick the best U-bolt out of the box, when mounting to your trailer. I would purchase this product again.

by:

This is the second time I have bought this.
The
first time was for my 20’ snow mobile trailer.
It has performed flawlessly for the last 4 years.

So it was time to buy a new jack for my boat trailer.
20’ Mako center console. It’s an over kill, but it is rock solid and know problem lifting the hitch
Up to get on a lifted Ram 1500

Highly recommend

  • Recommended Trailer Jack For Aluminum Trailer With 5-1/2 Inch I-Beam Frame
We do not offer a jack that swings up and will work with the I-beam aluminum trailer you said you have but we do have a fixed trailer jack that will work for you. I recommend part # HD50000101. This is a fixed mount square tube jack with a 5,000-lb capacity. This is a U-bolt mounted jack. I went to the warehouse and took some measurements to make sure it would be a fit for your trailer frame. The U-bolt mounting plate measures 8-inches tall and 5-inches wide and the largest U-bolt included...

This has a Zmax 600 finish for superior corrosion resistance and comes with a limited 5-year warranty. I have attached some review videos that you can check out as well.
