Shane: Hey guys, Shane here with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at replacement registers for your camper or RV. These vents are going to be by JR Products. They're going to come in three different colors, they're going to come in black, white or brown. They're also going to come in dampered and un-dampered. So the reason we had to replace this one, as you can see this one's kind of bent.
With this being sticking up like this, it's an easy way to cut your foot. It's kind of bent here in the middle. If it gets bent like that, it can kind of close off the vent, which can restrict airflow. We look at our new one, this is going to be a metal construction. The damper, and what damper it is, is it allows you to open and close the vent to regulate how much heat or air you want inside that room. If you look at the old one that we replaced, it's un-dampered, so it doesn't allow you to close that off.
So if you notice we're replacing this in the bathroom. If you want a little bit more heat out in your camper and a little bit less in the bathroom because it's a smaller area, you just want to close the door. You simply can regulate how much heat you want in here so you're getting more in the main area of the camper itself. To measure what size you need, you can do this a couple of ways. You can pull your vent out and you can measure the backside here, or if you don't want to pull it out, you can measure from here to here, and from there to there. A lot of times what'll happen is if you measure them here to here, it may give you, this'll say three and a half, and this will say seven and a half.
You want to round up, so you would actually, if this is three and a half, you'd round up to four. If this is seven and a half, you'd round up to eight, and that would be the size vent you would need. The lever to move our vents is very easy to use, very simple to use. You can see it doesn't stick up very far, so we're not going to have to worry about damaging it if it does get stepped on. In my professional opinion, I really like these, I like the metal construction. The powder coat finish on them is going to be really durable.
And if I'm going to replace them in mine, I would go with the dampered ones over the un-dampered because I like the idea of being able to regulate airflow in a certain area if I'm not going to be in there much, and I want more in an area where I'm going to be all the time. That's going to do it for our look at floor registers from JR Products.

Sturdy steel floor vent directly replaces worn, damaged, or plastic vents in your RV. The adjustable damper is a great way to control the amount of airflow being distributed to keep you comfortable after a long day of outdoor fun. They look like they will work fine when installed. I will have to make a slight adjustment to the air vent opening to make them fit due to the rod for the damper. Montana did not allow any extra space for that.
The ordering process and delivery were simple and quick!!!
Purchased these to replace the cheap, plastic & non-dampered ones on our 2020 Jayco Jayflight. The fit is great, and the metal is a lot more durable than the plastic. Now we can have more control over the heat in the trailer.
The two vents ordered were installed and replaced the non adjustable vents in my RV. I am now able to regulate flow in the bedroom and that is great news. Thanks!
The vents are a great fit and replacement in our 2002 Winnebago Journey. The previous owner replaced the carpet with a vinyl floor and used the old beat up, dingy vents that were missing dampers. The new vents are a great upgrade for our motorhome and we get to control if the heat is in the front or rear finally.
Simple item but looks nice in place, shipped quick and arrived in new condition. Very satisfied with Etrailers selection and service.
Original RV vent registers had no damper, thus dirt & debris would drop down into the duct work, plus there was no way to regulate furnace output. These dampers close almost fully so they should trap debris, preventing it from dropping into ductwork, and my central vacuum should have enough power to clean without removing the damper. Damper mechanism is pretty tight so they shouldn’t vibrate open or rattle when driving.
This works perfectly for the floor vent for the furnace in my Grand Design 5th wheel. No more burning up in the bedroom while the rest of the RV is freezing cold. It helped a lot to allow us to equalize temperatures.
Great addition to the motorhome. Better than just having a floor vent we can now close of areas that tend to be to warm.
I bought these to try and force more of the hot air to the lower part of the 5th wheel so the bedroom wasn't 20 degrees warmer than the living room area. They fit well and do their job. However I learned the hard way that the forced air isn't designed to do that and needs to be allowed to vent through all of the registers. These registers, being metal, got extremely hot on the closed one in the bathroom and melted the floor in a 1 ft radius around the register. Don't know if that will happen in every camper or not.
They fit perfect. There metal, so now walking over them, they won't break. Thank you!
On line questions about the vent were answered almost as soon as I asked. The metal dampered vent was a perfect fit, and way better than the plastic vents that came with my Toy Hauler.
Great product!!!!
I like these vents, metal, with a nice finish. Better than the cheesy plastic ones I had before. Thanks they look great with our new flooring.
Product was great. Only thing it should add with yhe registers are black headed screws.
These RV floor registers are a perfect replacement for the cheap plastic ones that came with the RV.
I like that they won't break like the plastic RV vents, but the metal ones get pretty hot. I will still choose these with the damper over plastic ones.
Great product arrived quicker then the original delivery date. Would definitely shop here again.
