Go Tankless or Go Home

Tankless Water Heater

Say goodbye to quick, military-style showers, refilling your tank, and waiting for the hot water to recover. This revolutionary design replaces your outdated tank heater and gives you the luxury of taking back-to-back showers, washing dishes, and running a load of laundry all at once. Unlike traditional tank heaters that require constant energy to keep your water hot, this tankless, propane-fueled water heater only uses energy when you turn on your faucet or shower, providing the ultimate efficiency at a campground or off-the-grid. The endless, on-demand hot water has no recovery time and is perfect if you're on the road full-time or traveling with a large group.

Relaxing Showers without Scalding or Freezing

Vortex Pic

Has your warm and relaxing shower ever been interrupted by a cruel burst of ice-cold water? Perhaps you've been the victim of a scorching surge of hot water that scalds you and sends you dancing out of harm's way. Either way, it's the worst, but those days are over. Furrion's vortex technology is designed to eliminate those dreaded hot and cold water fluctuations by consistently mixing hot and cold water together to reach your desired temperature, ensuring those warm, comfortable showers.

Safety First

This state-of-the-art technology is equipped with built-in safety measures to ensure you, your family, and your RV stay out of harm's way.

Its dual temperature sensors automatically shut off power if the water temperature exceeds 149 F, preventing the unit from overheating while also reducing the risk of hot water scalding. The unit also has a flame monitoring feature that cuts off the gas supply if the flame goes out to prevent gas from leaking inside your RV and a built-in safety valve that allows pressure to vent at 87 psi to prevent excess pressure and heat build-up.

Anti-Freeze Control Board

This tankless water heater features a control board to keep itself warm when temperatures drop. Freezing water can damage the unit, so an internal thermostat monitors water temperature and will turn the heat on automatically when it gets too cold. This feature will only work if the water heater is receiving power and gas. You will need to remember to winterize the water heater before storage over the winter.

First trip after installing this water heater. What a difference having unlimited hot water! Installation was fairly straightforward but did require some fabrication- using some 2” aluminum L stock to reduce size of hole in sidewall and making a support for the water heater in the cabinet. Very happy with this water heater

by:

As several people have mentioned - Mine arrived with casing damage even though the box was pristine. Be prepared to do some body work before installing. That's the ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars.

Other than that I have absolutely zero complaints and we should have installed one of these years ago. I had a 12 gallon tank water heater that got a pin hole in it somewhere so we decided to upgrade. The existing cutout was bigger so I had to use some 2x2 boards to reduce the frame size. Everything went together smooth and, after purging the water and gas, we had hot water within 10 seconds.

Simple operation and hasn't given any issues after the first 10 showers. Time will tell on the reliability, but things look promising.

Even though it is working, it should not have sustained damage. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you.

We needed the tankless heater for our large group. We have alot of kids! This was amazing! It accommodated us and all 14 of our kids without fail. We put it to the test and it's performance was great. We traveled for 5 weeks during the summer and it performed great! It was just what we needed and it made our vacation

by:

Iv now had this for a year, my most concern was how it does in negative temps. And I did perfect in -20. Only thing that froze was the flow valve pipe. But it took 8 seconds to thaw out with a torch. No big deal. After learning that, I turn the hot water on very low flow at night while sleeping. But so low that it wouldn’t kick the water heater on so I didn’t burn gas all night. But after that. Never frozen again. Kept 124 degrees while showering at -20. 10/10

by:

I've only had this installed a few hours and all I can say is wow. Took a full 25 minute shower and it was fantastic. The folks from etrailer were great. I called with some questions and Will was great, he answered all my questions accurately and friendly. The free 2 day shipping was also great since my 2 year old Suburban water heater has started leaking. Everything about this transaction was awesome. I did have to frame in the opening to fit the tankless since it's a bit smaller without a tank. Some of the reviews say the water doesn't get hot enough, if your flow is to much then it will take a bit to get to temp. I have an adjustable pressure regulator and had to back it off to 50 psi. Plus, you don't need to crank your hot water all the way up, with these water heaters less is more. Turn your hot up enough to stream then regulate your pressure with the cold side. It's just a little different than a conventional water heater. Best money I've spent on my 5th wheel. Thank you etrailer.

by:

Our first order was lost. However, etrailer jumped right on it and immediately sent another one out. Outstanding customer service! We have a RV tech coming tomorrow to install; can't wait for hot water on demand!

by:

Great product! On demand hot water is a must for any RV!

by:

The staff at etrailer are fantastic! They answered all my questions quickly. The whole order processing went smoothly and shipping fast. The installation of the new water heater went better than expected. I'm very pleased!!

by:

Product has been awesome, small learning curve about the propane line needed. We ended up dedicating a cylinder, line, and regulator to operate only the water heater so it is now separated from the furnace and stove. This prevented us from having to reengineer the lines.

by:

This product works as advertised. Installation is straight forward and fairly simple. We love never running out of hot water in our park model trailer. Etrailer is a top notch company that truly provides professional customer support and service. I highly recommend both.

by:

The heater works really well. Minimal amount of work to make it fit the existing opening from old water heater.

by:

Works well when it works. I've gone through 3 of these in a year. Like I said when it works, it's good. Otherwise it's junk

by:

I bought this unit a year ago. It was the best thing i've bought for the camper. I would highly recommend it if your thinking about replacing the water heater.

by:

We bought this water heater to go in our 32 ft pull behind camper we use it all of duck season for the 22 23 season and it worked perfect I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to get rid of the tank style water heater and third grade to tankless water heater takes up less space and worked as it should we had no problems with it so far

by:

This is a great product and I highly recommend it. You can have a nice hot shower while someone’s doing the dishes. No problem. Also, customer service is spot on. I ordered this in an emergency around 5 pm and it was delivered the next day.

by:

Great product, easy to install & looks great it replaced a 10 gal. Water heater. My wife loves the endless hot water.

by:

Thanks for the follow up. The WH has been working fine other than my wife using tank water that was low and the bypass must have gotten trash in it. I purged the system and cleared it.

by:

Outstanding water heater, it was a bit smaller so I had to take some 2x4s and 3/4 plywood to fill the gaps. Just to be clear on the installation I ran new wires to the battery with a fuse to be sure it it would have a full 12 volts. By getting this water heater we gained a 15 amp circuit, that I we will use for a dedicated plug for our pellet smoker. Sure is great to have hot water after a week with out.

by:

Install went smoothly, directions were good and it has worked well on several trips. Thanks

by:

Great product. Hot water anytime you want it. Uses much less propane then tank model. Great purchase...

by:

It works, no complaints. Hot water in 15sec. I would give it 5 stars if I got hot water in 5 seconds as I hate wasting water.

by:

The unit was easy to install and fit well in the original water heater space. The outside door fit nicely and the whole installation looks great. The hot water is never ending now and the system works well.

by:

this is the perfect water heater for our camper

by:

It was a very good fit, out with the old in with the new. I have a 2001 Automate 5th wheel. It is in very good shape but it was time to change the water heater.

by:

Great unit, should have done this a little earlier. Never run out of hot water again, thermostat is great addition, set temperature from inside. On demand only takes a few seconds to get hot water.

  • Best Way to Determine Fit of Tankless Water Heater in 5th Wheel Trailer
Really the best way to determine the fit of a tankless water heater in your 5th wheel is by the size of the cut out you have. This is the most important thing in regards to a fit, but of course you will also need to have connections there for propane and 12 volt power, though those will already be there from your previous water heater, assuming you had a gas/12 volt heater. So what you will need to do is know the size of your cut out, and you can choose the right tankless heater that way....

  • Recommended Tankless Replacement For An Atwood GC6AA-10E RV Water Heater
Hi Wes, All newer water heater models are transitioning to smaller sizes as the technology gets better so you'll likely have a gap regardless of which unit you choose to go with. There's typically framing around the water heater so you'll just need to add in some 2" x 2" boards to fill in the gap and give the mounting flange of the new unit something to grab onto when mounting. I've attached a video below where Jake had to do this in order to install the # FR93FR. These units come with...

Hey Scott, To replace your Atwood GH10-3E you'll want the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR. This water heater can produce up to 144 gallons of hot water per hour. Since it's tankless you won't have to wait around for the tank to heat the water and can take a shower without having to be as conservative with the water. The dimensions I'm seeing show the GH10-3E being 15.5" H x 16" W x 21" D so you'll need to frame in the hole a bit with some 2 x 2's in order to mount the new...

RV water heaters like your GC10A-3E # DMC74FR require both gas and electric to function. There is no way to turn one fuel source off and still have the unit produce hot water. The electric side controls the functions of the water heater while the gas is the fuel source for heating the water. However, you could go to the tankless side and getting a Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - 18" x 18" Door # FR68SR. Or ther Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater -...

The Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR you referenced is more of their base design, and they have a variety of options available for different opening sizes. Since you have a 16"+ opening I recommend using either part # FR48SR which comes with a 16" x 18" door, or part # FR68SR which comes with an 18" x 18" door. These are the same heater that you were looking at, just with different door sizes.
