Installed this unit in about an hour. True plug and play!! I had to use different holes in the bracket inside, but fit perfect. The only challenge I had for being 63 years old is getting it on the roof and the old unit down. The John Deere with front end loader with forks and a pallet did the trick! Thanks to my wife who is always ready to dial 911!! Thanks to Alyssa J for your help with the purchase. Also, the Dometic distribution box and thermostat worked with the Furrion.

by:

Package showed up earlier than expected. Packing was right and no damage from shipping. The extra box for wiring harness, metal brackets, and mounting bolts was complete. I haven't installed yet. This was just a review on proper packing, no damages, completeness of all components. Great job!

The unit function is stellar blows cold, my only complaint would be Furrion needs to design a better air distribution box.

by:

The air conditioner was shipped very fast. Received the unit two days before the original shipment date. The serviceman installed the unit and it is working fine. Only thing the fed-ex ship in on the side of the box and placed the unit in my shed upside down because your shipping department didn’t tape the bottom of the box that can damage a air conditioner!! Time Will tell!! Thank you Kelly for everything!!! Eddie Paparo

by:

Thank you Arthur for helping with getting all of the necessary parts needed to replace my AC. The parts came quickly to my site and I'm good condition.

by:

Excellent unit!! Cools the camper quick ly!!!

by:

We received the AC, installed and working very well. Bought 1 Furrion 2 weeks earlier, 2nd Furrion on Aug. 20th 2023 and with both units on my 2013 Palomino Columbus 5th wheel with the outside temp at 107 degrees today here in Kirvin TX, they are keeping the inside temp at 76 degrees with no trouble. I am very pleased with these two ACs. They are also much quieter then the old Dometic ACs they replaced.

by:

With great! Hopefully it will last

by:

If you’re not replacing a Furrion you will need the inside distribution panel. I had a Domedic and the inside panel does not fit. Very satisfied with the Furrion Chill HE.

by:

Great experience from stay to finish. Got what we ordered and quickly.

  • Furrion Chill HE RV AC Unit Recommendation to Replace Coleman Unit
The Furrion for Coleman Setups part # FR82PV would be an excellent option for your dad's travel trailer. It was designed for Coleman setups like what he has so the install will be very painless and you can continue to use the same controls in the RV already. 13,500 btu isn't going to be overkill. It will just be very efficient and work even on really hot days. The power draw on this is 11.2 amps.

  • Replacement AC Unit Options For A 2016 Heartland RV Oakmont 5th Wheel With Dometic AC's
While we don't currently offer Dometic branded AC units I do still have a solution for you with our Furrion AC units. You'll first want to remove the cover of your air distribution boxes and see if the wire harness that hangs down from your Dometic rooftop unit has a 6-pin or 9-pin connector. If you're just wanting to replace only the rooftop unit and retain use of the air distribution boxes and thermostats that you have then you can use the following units depending on the style connector...

  • Difference Between Ducted and Ductless AC Units
The difference is going to come down to the air distribution box. A ducted system will have registers on the air distribution box to close and redirect air through the ducts. Your typical replacement air conditioner like the # FR26PR or # ADV79FR will work with both since it is just the AC unit and not the air distribution box. If you're looking for a full system replacement the # FR95PV is also compatible with both.

  • Replacement Options For A Dometic AC Unit On A 2015 Coachmen Chaparral
To determine the best replacement for your Dometic unit you'll first need to figure out the BTU rating and the connector style for the rooftop unit's wire harness. To find the BTU rating you can remove the shroud of the rooftop unit and there will typically be a label with the model/serial number with the BTU rating listed on it. To determine the connector style you'll need to remove the cover of the air distribution box and look for the wire harness that hangs down from the rooftop unit...

If you're replacing the controller for your air conditioner system then you'd have to replace the whole distribution box as well because they wouldn't all mount the same and no two brands have been tested to fit together yet. • Replacement AC Options For A Dometic RV Air Conditioner System
The product number 991760410 didn't come back to anything for me unfortunately. If you're only needing to replace the rooftop unit and want to keep your current air distribution box and thermostat then you'll need to open up the air distribution box and check for the harness that the rooftop unit uses to connect to the controller. It will either have a 6-pin or 9-pin connector. You'll also need to check for a sticker that lists the BTU rating so that you can match or increase your current...

  • Is The Furrion # FR82PV Compatible With A Dometic RV Air Conditioner System
The Furrion # FR26PR you referenced doesn't come with the wiring harness adapter so you'll want to pick up the Wiring Harness Adapter # C-FACR15SA-A01 as well to make it compatible with your RV's Dometic AC system. Since it has a lower BTU rating it will not be as efficient as your current 15,000 BTU rating. If you're looking for the most efficient unit then you'll want to go with the higher rated Furrion # FR42PV. This unit is rated for 15,000 BTU's.

  • Will The Furrion Replacement AC Unit Replace A Dometic 600315.321 Rooftop Unit
There could possibly be a refrigerant leak in your condenser unit so swapping it out would be the correct choice. The Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner # FR82PV would be compatible, but you could possibly save a couple bucks if the wire harness adapter isn't needed. If you remove the cover on your air distribution box you should be able to see your controller and see a wire harness hanging down from the condenser, plugging into the controller. If the plug has 6-pin connector...

  • What is the Difference Between the Furrion Chill HE and the Furrion Chill A/C?
The only real differences between the Furrion Chill Premium RV Air Conditioner System # FR26PR and the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR58PR is the BTU rating, other than that they are the exact same. For your 2021 Heartland Fuel 265 I recommend going with Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV because it has a higher BTU rating, and is a bit quieter when running which over time I believe it would be worth it.

  • Recommended Replacement For A Dometic Duo-Therm AC Unit Model # 80611342
Your Dometic model number 80611342 came back as a 13,500BTU unit so the only other information we'll need to know is the what style connector your unit has. Dometic units will either come with a 6-pin or 9-pin connector (pictured below). The units we currently offer only come with a 6-pin connector so you'll need an adapter if your current unit had a 9-pin. To find this you'll need to remove the cover of your air distribution box and find the wire harness that hangs down from the rooftop...

  • Can I Use A Dometic Brisk AC With A Coleman Air Distribution Box
I am sorry but we do not carry an adapter harness that will connect a Coleman distribution box to a Dometic Brisk Ac unit. The distribution boxes and ac units generally need to be brand specific. We do carry a conversion kit # C-FACR15SA-A01 that allows a Furrion brand AC unit like the # FR26PR to be compatible with a Coleman distribution box.
