Will The Furrion Replacement AC Unit Replace A Dometic 600315.321 Rooftop Unit
Question:
I have a Dometic model no. 600315.321 that is not cooling efficiently. Everything seems to run fine but it just blows cool but not cold and that is not good for our furbabies on really hot days. Is this unit a direct plug and play with our current unit? We do have some ducts that run off of this as well. Our coach is a 2004 Coachmen Aurora 3380 MBS TIA

There could possibly be a refrigerant leak in your condenser unit so swapping it out would be the correct choice. The Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner # FR82PV would be compatible, but you could possibly save a couple bucks if the wire harness adapter isn't needed. If you remove the cover on your air distribution box you should be able to see your controller and see a wire harness hanging down from the condenser, plugging into the controller.
If the plug has 6-pin connector then you wouldn't need the adapter and could just use part # FR26PR. If it has a 9-pin connector then the # FR82PV you were looking at would be the correct choice so that you'll get the adapter.
The air distribution box is what controls the airflow through the ducts so it wouldn't be a factor here since you're only replacing the condenser and keeping your current air distribution box. As far as installation goes, it's a simple plug in connector for the wiring and then 4 bolts in the corners of your air distribution box to mount the condenser to the roof.
