The Reese Universal rails were actually my second choice, because the rails made specifically for my Tundra would have been back-ordered for several weeks (due to availability). I had to install the hitch and pick up my 5th wheel right away and could not wait, so I went with the Reese rails. However, the Toyota service center that installed them said they were a good product and they did not have any difficulty installing them in the same time period that would have been required for the other Tundra specific rails. I am very pleased with this product and especially the helpful service that I got from etrailer to meet my timing demands.

Regular cab two door 4x4 5.7 Tundra pulling a 7500lb Grand design 28’ 5th wheel easily. Great hitch. Strong, durable, worth every penny. I paid a couple hundred to a body shop/ mechanic to install. They had no problem.

Ordering process was easy and received quickly. The installation instructions were easy to follow and understand. Installation went fairly quick at around 4.5 hrs.

I think the product was very good as a matter of fact it was better than anticipated. You may want to consider letting prospective buyers know the gage thickness of these rails Its like an injustice to them because the picture does not say a thousand words. Also it would be helpful if you had a giude that would prompt you as to how far apart to insta the second rail. Incidentally I had read a review and the gentleman stated that it took him 4 hrs and he didnt need the instructions. Dont believe him. The best part about ordering from you was the constant follow up. Thanks for every thing

  • Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit Recommendation for a 2012 Toyoda Tundra 6.5 Foot Bed
The universal installation kit # RP30035-309, fits so many applications because the brackets are not uniquely shaped to fit different vehicles. Because of this, you have to follow the supplemental instructions for the kit, linked for you, when installing it on a 2012 Toyota Tundra. If installed correctly, there should not be any interference issues. Another option which will be much easier to install, require less drilling, and less time, is a custom installation kit. The available custom...

  • 5th Wheel Base Rails and Install Kit That Fits 2007 Toyota Tundra
From what I can gather it sounds like you just need the 5th wheel base rails and install kit for your 2007 Toyota Tundra to mount your 5th wheel hitch, though I'm not familiar with the "Highup attachment" you were referring to. To mount your hitch there are two options, a universal install kit and a custom install kit. The difference between the two is the custom installation kit does not require any drilling into your frame rails to install, while the universal kit does. This is not...

  • 5th Wheel or Gooseneck Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Toyota Tundra Short Bed
You can install a fifth wheel or gooseneck hitch in your 2012 Toyota Tundra, however, there are a few things that we will need to take into consideration before selecting the appropriate hitch for your truck. I assume by Maxcab, you are referring to the CrewMax cab. The CrewMax cab models have a 5-1/2 ft bed. If your truck bed length is 5-1/2 ft, then, to tow a fifth wheel trailer, you will need a few different items such as the Reese Semi-Custom Install Kit, # RP30035-309, a fixed fifth...

  • 5th Wheel Towing Capacity of 2007 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Cab
I suggest you check your owner's manual to confirm your Tundra's towing capacity since this can vary a lot based on engine, drive train bed length and whether any tow package upgrades have been installed. I think the 1475-lb figure you found may be a payload capacity, not a towing capacity. I reviewed an online edition of the owner's manual for the 2007 Toyota Tundra and on page 581 there is a Towing Capacity chart for the CrewMax cab version. I have linked that chart for your reference....

From the attached images it appears you had ISR, Industry Standard Rails attached but I cannot tell from what manufacturer. The Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit, # RP30035-309 is a confirmed fit for the 2007 Toyota Tundra. These rails will work with fifth wheel hitches by Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley, Huskey brands, and most standard fifth wheel hitches. They will not however fit Reese Elite Series or the Valley UBS Hitches. The Reese 5th Wheel Trailer...

The Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit w Spacers for 5th Wheel Hitches - Toyota Tundra # RP30035-309 is a confirmed fit with your 2014 Toyota Tundra 8 foot bed. If you do run into turning clearance issues we have an offset gooseneck plate, the Curt 25K Gooseneck Plate for 5th Wheel Rails part # 16055 which moves the connection point away from the cab for more clearance. For your 2010 Toyota Tundra with a 5-1/2 foot bed, you will need to use a stationary trailer hitch, like # RP30047 with installation kit # RP30035-309, and a sidewinder in order to have enough clearance to execute 90 degree turns safely. I have included a link to the installation details below for the hitch. There are some measurements you can take to be sure the sidewinder, which offers the most clearance at 22 inches, will work. • Is Sidewinder Required for 5-1/2 Foot Bed on 2013 Toyota Tundra
The 5-1/2 foot bed of your 2013 Toyota Tundra will require the use of a Sidewinder in order to safely make a sharp turn with your fifth wheel trailer. With a bed that short, and any type of sharp turn, the trailer will crash into your Tundra, resulting in significant damage. To find the correct Sidewinder what you will need to know is the manufacturer and model number of the pin box on your fifth wheel and match that with the correct replacement. For example, Sidewinder # RP34FR will...

Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.
