Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in the spare tire compartment.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
ModuLite Power Module
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Not hard to install other than fishing the mounting bolts through the frame. The tools supplied with the receiver are very beneficial and a must. The harness kit was not difficult at all. Overall very good product and pulls my little fishing boat great!

2019 Ford Escape
Etrailer came through again!
Their products are spot on. I've gotten several hitches from them with different vehicles. This trailer hitch is for my 2019 Ford Escape SE. Installing it myself... on my back, it went well. Getting the hitch around the exhaust took a little bit of time but can be done. Again, I was laying on my back. It took about an hour, start to finish. The directions were straight forward, no guessing. The hitch was boxed well. It was shipped in a timely matter with no issues. Thanks Etrailer!

2019 Ford Escape
Wonderful kit. I would like to give a tip on getting the tail light off on a 2019 Escape. Take the 8mm bolts out, put a strip of duct tape (Gorilla in my case) along the lens and give it a tug rear ward. I have trim tools but I wasn't feeling good about prying on the light. Makes it easy to remove.

2019 Ford Escape
My experience has been very good from day one when I first logged on to the etrailer web site. All products were clearly described and shown in photos and videos. 2019 Ford Escape
The Tekonsha wiring harness, item 118802, seems to be very well made. I installed it on our 2019 Ford Escape. The fit was good. It does take a little time to install if you go the extra mile to cover the wires with protective covering which I would suggest due to how close the wires will be to the exhaust and moving parts. The hardest part is getting the wire that goes to the battery positioned in a good spot. It took me about 2 hours to do the complete installation. This was my first time so someone who has experience with installing wiring harnesses could probably do it in a lot less time. After installation I tested it by connecting my trailer to the hitch and connecting the wiring harness to the trailer and everything worked just like it should. I would recommend this product.

It worked good but the hitch was bent. So sad that I had to have to take it someplace to have it straightened out. Very poor packaging of the hitch but the wiring harness was good.

Ford Escape
This was very easy to install, and after a year of service everything still works perfect! I installed it inside the rear hatch on my Ford Escape and run it out the hatch when I use it. This cuts down on the corrosion that happens during the harsh winter conditions in WNY

Hitch installation was no problem! On in about an hour! Wining harness was a pain in the tail! The back part was easy. The wire to the battery was a pain to fish up to front but it works great!!!

Instructions were provided but skip over the details, the video provided lots more detail, especially regarding removing the rear lights to make the connections, videos are excellent, and essential.
