Today we're going take a look at the replacement tongue for the Yakima SingleSpeed 1-bike platform rack. Now, this part will replace the tongue needed on your Yakima SingleSpeed 1-bike platform rack. That bike rack we do sell separately on our website. It's part number Y02481. Now, this part will include the tongue, the threaded rod on the inside with the anti-rattle SpeedKnob right here and the dirt guard to put over the lock. Now, it does not include a lock, but it is made to utilize the original SKS lock core that you already have or if you need to purchase one, you could purchase one.
Installs right in there and use the key to lock it into place. Basically the SpeedKnob provides a tool-free anti-rattle installation.Once you install this into your hitch and you turn this, it's threaded and it pushes this little lever here out up against the inside of your hitch and as you tighten it down, it'll keep it from rattling. Helps reduce any noise or movement. Then once you get it to where it's tight enough, when you have your lock in there, you put your key in there to lock it and then put the dirt guard over there to protect it so nothing gets into the lock core. But as I mentioned, this is made to use the original SKS lock core.

Got the right parts for the price offered and when it was promised. Then etrailer did a one year follow up to check-in....who does that
Old tongue was bent when a vehicle rear-ended me. This swapped out perfectly and had me back at my local trails. Was really clutch they included the key blank in order to swap out the core from the old tongue.
Good product. Almost made the original delivery date. All in all, pretty good.
