  Since you have the Reese 16K you can switch out the base for the slider base part # RP30048 and use the Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package part # RP30154 like you mentioned. However, I really recommend to switch out the Reese 16K base to a tube slider base part # RP50024 because the handle is easier to use and it slides smoother.
