Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Dexter semi-metallic disc brake pads for the 6,000 pound to 8,000 pound disc brake assemblies. Now, these brake pads will fit the Dexter disc brake calipers that are rated 6,000 pounds, 7,000 pounds or 8,000 pounds. And the brake pads are what will apply pressure to the rotors that slow or stop your trailer's wheels. Want to zoom in and show you the pads themselves.
They have a nice e-coated backing plate to reduce noise, protect the brake pads from wear. And e-coat finish helps resist corrosion. And the pad themselves, you can see is a semi-metallic material that'll resist heat damage and performs well in cold weather. Now, this kit will include everything laid out here on the table. The four brake pads themselves, the two anti-rattle springs, the two retaining pins and nuts, and the two spring tension clips.
And this is for to outfit two disc brake calipers. These parts are made in the USA. Comes with a nice set of instructions that describe how these install. But that should do it for the review on the Dexter semi-metallic disc brake pads for 6,000 pound to 8,000 pound disc brake assemblies..

While I think the parts are fine, the packaging was terrible. The two packages of disc brake pads were included in a box with 4 rotors. During shipping, the rotors were not packed tight enough in the larger box and moved around. One of the boxes of pads was open and the pads were loose in the larger box.
We have not opened the box yet as they were for stock, I assume they are great as usual
Installation and fit our RV as expected. The website was easy to navigate and find the model/year we needed. Fast delivery. Be sure to have the tools needed to make the job easier.
As with all of my etrailer orders, this one was a fast delivery and fit exactly as expected.
