Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Bauer Products Replacement Lock Cylinder Protection Cap. This is going to help keep the dust and mud out of the cylinder on your locking door latch for your horse or utility trailer. This is going to work with your Bauer product trailer latches with the part numbers that you see on the screen there.I do have one of those trailer latches here. So just wanted to show you how this is an exact replacement for that original part.

So you can see virtually identical, and it's going to be very easy to just pop this old one out, put the new one in, and it's going to do a good job of making sure that no dirt and debris, that sort of thing, can get into our key area there.So whether you already have had a cap and you're needing to replace it, or if your latch came without one, this is going to be a great option, again, to make sure that that key area is dirt and debris free so that you can more easily use it.
