Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be checking out and showing you how we hooked up the Hopkins 7-Way Trailer Connector End. This style of wiring is a great solution to, you know, not only repair kind of what you already have, but also to help you set up everything new if you're kind of going through your whole trailer. In our case today, we kind of had a mixture of that. So the trailer came in and the lights we're doing weird stuff, the brakes on it we're doing weird stuff and come to find out the existing one already had a repair in it and it wasn't the greatest. And then taking a look at the end of it too, where it connects, it's all chewed up and rusted out and all right, instead of just, you know, changing this end out or anything like that, we got our new wiring. more

This adaptor plug is gonna be a really simple solution for those of you that have a vehicle with a seven-way, round trailer type connector and you need to hook up to a trailer that has a four-way flat. All you're gonna have to do is plug this in and it'll reduce it down to that four-way that way we're able to plug your trailer in and get all those appropriate signals that you need not only to stay safe but legal as well. And being that it goes down to that four way, you'll get your taillights your turn signals, and your brake lights. Now this part here, will let you create your own cord or replace the damaged ends on your Roadmaster four wire straight and the Roadmaster Flexicoil electrical cords that have this four-way female connector on it. Basically, I wanted to show you how you install your wires in this. What you'll first wanna do is find where that little Phillip screw is right there and then you'll get a little Phillip screwdriver and then you'll just loosen that screw. And then once you get that screw out, you'll see that the whole inside will slide right out. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Hopkins seven-way to four-way adapter with the flex coil wire and the night glow feature. Now not all trailer couples and vehicle hitches are the same height so because of this, some vehicles might require extra length on the trailer wiring to plug into the tow vehicle and provide enough slack for your turning radius. This nice flex coil adaptor can stretch up to three feet and it provides that extra reach while ensuring that the wire does not drag on the ground due to the nice flex coil design. This adapter will plug into the seven-way on your tow vehicle and an extend to plug into the four-way on your trailer. Review of CURT Trailer Wiring - 4-Way Flat To 7-Way Socket Adapter - C26DR- Video

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this Curt 4-Way Flat to 7-Way Socket Adapter. This adapter is going to convert the 4-way flat trailer connector on your vehicle to a 7-way socket, and the 4-way flat trailer end is going to plug into the 4-way flat on your vehicle, and the socket plugs into a 7-way RV blade connector, and that connector is sold separately. So this is going to enable the installation of a Curt Echo brake controller on 4-flat vehicles. Now, to install, this is going to be a relatively simple install, you wanna locate your vehicle's 4-way flat harness and attach it to the 7-way harness, and if the harness is in the hatch or in the trunk of your vehicle, you will need to route the 4-way flat to the outside of the vehicle, and this can be done by routing through a grommet in the trunk or hatch area, potentially, under your spare tire. Next, you do want to run a power wire from the battery to the black wire on this harness and splice it together. This black wire is going to get connected to one end of this included bundle of black wire, and using one of the included butt connectors, you're just going to connect these two wires together, and then the other end of this bundle is going to get routed to your vehicle's battery. more
