etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation- 2024 Toyota RAV4- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and you can see, or not see, the fact that the cross tube is hidden, so you get a nice clean look of not seeing the entire hitch and only having the receiver tube opening down. So that's the benefits of having the hitch but still maintaining a nice clean look. And the etrailer hitch, I really like, because it's got the matte black powder coat finish, so it gives it a little bit stealthier look. It kind of blends in with some of the black plastic, and overall it holds up a little bit better than the gloss paint chips and scratches. Now, this is a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great when it comes to choosing accessories, bike racks, cargo carriers, or even ball mounts for towing a trailer. more

So when it comes to how this hitch sits on the vehicle, one thing you're probably gonna notice right out of the gate is that you really don't see much besides that receiver tube and that's gonna be true for a lot of the other hitch options available for the RAV4. But this option from Draw-Tite is actually pretty nice. The end of the collar here is one solid piece, no seams that are visible and it all just looks very clean. more

Now when it comes to hitches for your RAV4, there's plenty of options out there and most of 'em are gonna be class 3, offering you a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. This one from CURT is gonna be a class 2, offering an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. So the reason you might go with that smaller receiver tube opening is maybe you already have an accessory that you're bringing over from a previous vehicle that had an inch and a quarter hitch like a bike rack. more

This is the EcoHitch Class III Receiver Hitch, that we installed on our 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Now our EcoHitch is a hidden cross tube style hitch, meaning all you're gonna see is just the receiver tube opening, right here on the bottom. Everything else is tucked up underneath and away. Now adding the hitch to any vehicle really opens up options of what you can do with your vehicle. And sometimes there are some drawbacks and one of the questions a lotta times people have are, are my hands free lift gate, is it still gonna work with that hitch in place And the answer is yes. It is gonna be a little bit trickier. Normally you can kind of just go in that center portion and it'll work. Now there's a hitch in the way so you do have to be a little bit careful. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Toyota RAV4- Video
Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Draw-Tite class two trailer hitch receiver on a 2023 Toyota Rav4. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and it is mostly hidden except for you have a plate here, your engine a quarter receiver opening, as well as your safety chain loops. But the cross member is hidden behind the rear fascia so you get a nice clean look. Now being that this is a class two that does mean that this is gonna be an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening and you are gonna be a little bit limited compared to a two inch receiver tube opening. But, for bike racks and cargo carriers, and even a small ball mount for a trailer, this is gonna be a great option and all of your accessories are gonna stay in place with a half inch pin and clip. more

Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and it is gonna be a hidden cross tube. So all that you're gonna see is the receiver tube opening, and the safety chain loops from the bottom, so you get all the usability without really sacrificing any looks. And this one is gonna be an inch and a quarter, which is gonna limit you a little bit as far as accessories, like ball mounts, cargo carriers, and bike racks. But I have one of these on my vehicle, and I'm still able to use it quite often. Now, when putting your accessories in place, you are gonna use a half inch pin clip, and it's not included with the hitch. more

Draw-Tite Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Toyota RAV4- Video
Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Draw-Tite Hidden Hitch on a 2020 Toyota RAV4. Now, here we have our hitch actually installed on the vehicle and you may say, well, where is it And that's why this is the hidden hitch. Reason being is you can actually take your receiver tube opening out and store it elsewhere, that way you get a nice clean look when you're not using it. So you can see here, you have your holes for your safety chain loops but other than that, there's nothing here. Now, when you are ready to actually hook up to your trailer or any of your accessories, what you're gonna do is simply take this blue knob and you're gonna push it in and then twist back and that should lock that in place. more

Hi there Toyota owners. Today, on your 2011 Toyota RAV4, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install etrailer's class III two inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. The receiver is pretty noticeable here at the back and you are gonna be able to see the cross tube as well. A lot of times the receiver's tucked up underneath, so it's really not noticeable. But on this one, the way it sticks out so far at the back and the angle of the bumper here, you're definitely gonna notice that it's there. more

This hitch is a class II 1 1/4 by 1 1/4 receiver. And here you can see what it looks like when it's installed. The cross tube is barely visible here at the bottom of our bumper, but for the most part, the majority of it's hidden behind it, and you're really only gonna see the receiver here at the back. Unfortunately our model today doesn't have that feature, so I can't actually show you. But, from my experience in the past, all you're going to have to do is kick your foot to one side or the other of the hitch, and might take a couple tries, but you'll find that sweet spot, and it'll work just like it should.So these RAV4's are really versatile SUV's. more

Today on our 2016 Toyota RAV4, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class 3 Two-Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver.There's a couple of things I really like about this hitch, and the main one being, the way it's going to look on the back of the RAV4. For the most part, it's going to be completely hidden. Really, the only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening. And so, it really just helps maintain that factory appearance. And it's going to be able to do that without sacrificing any clearance.So what I mean by that, the hitch is going to sit up nice and tight against the bottom of the car, giving us some good ground clearance. more

Conner: Hey guys, how's it going Connor here today at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a look at the CURT class 3 trailer hitch here for our 2020 Toyota Rav4. So our CURT class 3 hitch is going to be an excellent option here for our Rav4, we have the larger two inch receiver tube opening, which is going to allow us to tow trailers and we're also going to have a much greater variety of hitch mounted accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers to choose from. So our CURT hitch here has a class 3 rating, which is going to provide us with a 4,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. And that's going to be how much we can pull outward on our fully loaded trailer. We're also going to have a 600 pound tongue weight rating, which is going to be the downward vertical force on our receiver tube opening.Now keep in mind we do need to check the vehicle's owners manual and abide by the lowest rating component. more

We're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class II trailer hitch receiver here for our 2020 Toyota RAV4.Our Draw-Tite trailer hitch here is going to be an excellent option for our RAV4. As you can see, we have the 1-1/4" receiver tube opening that's going to allow us to pull a trailer or haul a bike rack or cargo carrier, whichever we want to use it for. So our Draw-Tite Class II trailer hitch here is going to give us a 3,500 pound gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount we can pull outward on our fully loaded trailer. It's also going to have a 350 pound tongue weight rating, which is going to be the downward force on our receiver tube. This is going to be plenty for small or medium duty trailers. more

Bob: Bob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the etrailer class 3 custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2008 Toyota RAV4. This is what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube isn't going to be visible underneath, but the flat black finish on our hitch blends in really well, and its not going to be as noticeable. But the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out, and since it is a class 3, it is going to give us that 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, which is going to have the widest variety of accessories that we can mount up. Whether we want to make more room on the inside and put a cargo carrier, we're going to move all our gear to the outside, or if we want to take a bike ride, we can put a bike rack in there and take some bikes with us, or if we need to move a small trailer, we can put a ball out and tow a trailer with it. But regardless of whatever we're going to be using it for, we're going to mount all of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here on the side.Now, the hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. more
