Demco Hijacker Underbed Rail and Kit Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on this 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to review and install the Underbed Rail Installation Kit for a Demco Hijacker UMS fifth wheel and gooseneck trailer hitches, part number DM8551010.This is what the rails look like when they're installed under the truck. You can see we got the two cross rails going from left to right, and they sit on the frame below the bed. Let's check out on the bed of a truck, and we have our hitch already in place. It's kind of integral for installation by the way, but we take a look down here. All we have is four holes drilled in the bed, two inch diameter holes, very easy to do, and your hitch sits right in there. The big plus about this setup is, is that when you take your hitch out, you have full access to your bed.Now these base rails will fit a variety of Demco products, including all the auto slide pitches they offer. more

The adapters are part numbers BWRVK3500 or part number BWRVK3400.The under bed design of the kit allows for full truck bed access, and when you're ready, it's under five minutes to convert your empty truck bed into a 5th Wheel Hitch.We'll start off by unlocking our B and W hitch and installing our 5th wheel adaptor. We have ours preassembled, but you can adjust the uprights here depending on your truck and trailer combinations.At this point, the hitch is ready to attach to a trailer. Today on our 2015 GMC Sierra 2500, you're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Above-Bed Rails and Custom Installation Kit for Fifth Wheel Hitches, part number DM8552011-71. This is what our rail kit looks like when it's installed. This is going to give us a solid mounting point for our Hijacker Fifth Wheel Hitch. And it's going to have those different mounting locations for those different hitches. Your above-bed rails are attached to two brackets, which are secured to your frame rails underneath the bed.The installation part of it is very simple. You've got to drill one hole in the side of each frame rail down through the bed, which is where your bolts are going to attach to your brackets that are attached to your frame. more

Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails Installation - 2013 Ram 2500- Video
Today on this 2013 Ram 2500, we're going to review and install the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard installation kit with base rails, part number RP56011-53. This is what the rails look like when they're installed in the bed of a truck. As you can see, they're a little bit taller and bigger compared to a traditional fifth wheel rails you're used to seeing, but that's a good thing because fifth wheel rails aren't really rated, but these rails are. In fact, it's actually marked on the rail itself according to the slots. These guys are going to be quite a bit longer compared to the original style that you're used to as well. This goes almost all the way to the edge of the fender well, and it makes it a little bit easier underneath the vehicle to install them with the customer fit brackets that go onto the side of the frame. more

Husky Custom Base Rail Kit Installation - 2006 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on this 2006 Ford F350 Super Duty, we're going to review and install a Husky custom base rail and installation kit, part number HQ31407-686.Now, a rail kit can be used with a variety of different fifth-wheel hitches out there, such as this Demco product, here. Also work with with Draw-Tite, Reese, Husky, and other brands that are out there. You can see that it's a very conventional setup, got the same two rails as you used to with all the other fifth-wheel rail kits that are out there.Now, this kit is unique that it uses a four-bolt system, instead of the conventional ten-bolt system you see on a lot of other rail kits that are out there.Now, rails do sit as flush as possible to the truck, and still allows you to have full-bed access. However, when you load your truck up, you may have to consider the rails themselves, and also the bolt heads sticking up.All right, we seen what's on top of the bed, let's go beneath the truck, and take a look how the other of the kit is this nice one-piece unit right here, that attaches to the frame of truck, and uses existing bolt holes in the frame. So the only real drilling you have to do is go through the bed of the truck, see, and that's pretty easy, compared to drilling through the frame.One cool little detail about our hitch is actually part of fastening itself. This nut right here clamps into place onto the frame bracket, and makes it real easy to help us tighten down, thread the bolt, get it started and tighten it down. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Reese Quick Install Custom Installation Kit with Base Rails for fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number RP50074-58.Here's what our rails look like once we have them installed. This is going to allow us to put a fifth wheel into the bed of our truck and hook up to our fifth wheel trailer. As you can see here, our rails are going to fit most industry standard fifth wheels like we have here with our Reese. As you can see, our rails are going to stick up about an inch from the bottom of the truck bed, but when we take out fifth wheel out we'll have full bed access to store everything we need. If your Ford doesn't have the factory prep package in it, this is going to be a great way to get a fifth wheel in the bed of your truck. With Ford moving to aluminum truck beds, having two dissimilar metals can cause corrosion. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite under bed installation kit for high rise fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number 9465-56-5W.Now one nice thing about this particular gooseneck, that some other goosenecks out there don't have is the ability to tow a fifth wheel trailer. Draw-Tite does make a fifth wheel trailer assembly head which will go into the gooseneck and lock into place and you can still tow a fifth wheel trailer as well as your gooseneck trailer.Here's what our gooseneck looks like underneath the bed of our truck. This is where everything's going to be located. That's the key highlight of this system, it's under bed system. So we still have complete and full truck bed access. Another great feature about this particular gooseneck is how easy it is to use. more

B and W Fifth Wheel Installation Kit - Universal - BWRVR3200 Review- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the BMW Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for fifth wheel trailer hitches. This is going to allow you to mount your fifth wheel trailer hitch into your truck. It's going to be an above-bed design, that means that the base rail is going to sit above the bed, and it will take up a little bit of space in that truck bed since they are permanently mounted. We'll have the two base rails that will come with our kit, along with the four angle brackets that are going to attach to our frame. We're going to have the shorter two that are go towards the rear of the vehicle, while the longer two will go towards the cab or the front of the vehicle.This is a universal mount, so there will be some drilling required with this. It should work for most applications even if you have an older truck, a flatbed track, anything like that, as well as newer trucks as well. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2013 Silverado we're going to be installing CURT's Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, Part Number C16411-204. This fifth wheel rail kit is custom designed to work with your Silverado. It's going to give you nine locations for many different types of fifth wheels. It will work with all of CURT's fifth wheels, and it will work with most modern fifth wheels of other manufacturers. You may have some issues with older fifth wheels from competitors prior to 2003.They're mounted above your bed on your truck and held in place by side brackets attached to the frame. When you're done using your fifth wheel you can take it off, and the rails will remain inside the bed giving you mostly full bed access.There's some minor drilling in the bed required and all the hardware you need to get installed comes included. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt custom fifth wheel installation kit in carbide finish part number C16411-204. Now it is also available in a gloss finish using part number C16411-104.Now the whole point of our base rails is so that we can mount a fifth whee hitch in our truck and safely tow either a fifth wheel or a gooseneck down the road. The rails are going to have several different mounting locations in there and they're going to accept industry standard fifth wheel hitches or gooseneck adapters. And the nice thing about our rails is when we're not towing, we can pull our fifth wheel out and our rails are only going to stick up from our bed about an inch and a half.Now our rails do come with a custom installation kit, which is going to cut down on the installation time making it a little bit easier and also reduce the amount of drilling that we're going to have to do. We are going to have to drill five holes per rail in order to get them installed. Those rails in the bed are going to attach to our frame brackets here. more

Here's what a Demco under bed system looks like installed. These under bed rails allow us to have all of the mounting solutions for our fifth wheel and gooseneck trailers underneath the bed of our truck. This will allow us to maintain full access to our truck bed and not lose any of the valuable space in it. One of the great features about the Demco under bed system is how easy it is to remove our fifth wheel to gain full truck bed access. Once your rails are installed, your 5th wheel base is gonna sit right down into the existing holes. This is going to be your mounting location for most standard fifth wheels. Now, these are going to be compatible with a variety of different fifth wheel hitches that we carry. They have different slots that are marked with numbers for whichever one you may purchase. It's going to go from 16,000 pounds up to 25,000 pounds. However, I do recommend checking your owner's manual to make sure your vehicle can withstand whichever amount of weight you are pulling.Now, these rails are going to be about 1 7/8" off the bed and as you can see, they take up, from side to side, most of the center of your bed. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, we're gonna be installing Reese's custom base rails for fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number RP50066-58.These custom designed base rails are gonna allow you to get your fifth wheel hitch installed in your Chevy Silverado with minimal drilling and effort. Included in the kit, you're going to get two base rails for the legs of your hitch, and two side brackets that'll go underneath and attach to your frame, keeping it nice and secure.The side brackets attached to the frame rails using pre-existing holes so there's no drilling into the frame required, and the base rails will be function with most manufacturers fifth wheel heads, so it'll be ready to bolt right up and ready to use once you got it installed.The way these base rails are designed, the pins that hold your fifth wheel in, you can take your fifth wheel out, so will base rails remain in place and the base rails only sit about an inch on top of your bed, so you'll have mostly full bed access once you get your fifth wheel out of there.This kit comes with all the hardware you need to get it installed. It does require some minimal drilling, I'll show you how to do that now.We'll begin our installation by measuring out the first rail closes to the tailgate. You wanna center it in the middle between each side of your truck bed, and then you'll measure from the rear of the truck bed between your tailgate opening and the actual truck bed itself down towards your rail. There are multiple measurements depending on the length of your truck bed, refer to your instructions and set it at the appropriate distance from here to your rail.You'll then mark the hole one in on each side and the center hole towards the cab. You can use a center punch for this, if you've got a spray in bed liner, you can use a paint stick, and then what I like to do before I take it off if I do have spray in bed liner is to just take a drill bit and just mark that a little bit more. more
