Hey, guys. It's Jake here with Etrailer. Today, we have a 2023 Audi Q5, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Etrailer class three two-inch hitch receiver. Adding a two-inch hitch receiver to the back of your Audi Q5 is gonna allow you to carry bike racks, cargo carriers, or if you get the wiring kit too, maybe even tow small trailers. The back of our Q5 has got a little bit of room for storage, but if you go on those longer trips and you wanna haul bulkier items like a cooler or some larger luggage, a cargo carrier is gonna be much easier to tie everything down onto, and you can bring that much more stuff. The other thing is is that it'd be very, very difficult to fit a bike in the back of an Audi, and if you've tried, you probably already know that. more

This is etrailer's Class III Receiver Hitch that we installed on our 2022 Audi Q5. Now, in my opinion, this is the perfect size hitch for this Audi. This is gonna be a Class III hitch, which means that this receiver opening right here is 2" by 2" square and we've reinforced the collar on this for just a little bit better performance out of it. Now all of your accessories out there, you're gonna get a huge market of 2" receiver accessories like that when it comes to cargo carriers or bike racks or other accessories like that. more

Hi, John with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at some of the features and how to install Draw-Tite Hidden Hitch Class III Receiver Hitch on our 2018 Audi Q5. Now, the number one question that we get with the Audis and the trailer hitches is: Will the kick sensors still work I've just unlocked it. Yes, the sensor still works, regardless if you have the receiver tube installed in the bumper or not. The best feature of this hitch that I think is that when you are done towing, or done biking, or done with your cargo rack, anything that you would use this hitch for and you don't want it on the vehicle anymore, it comes right off. Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch with Towing Kit Installation - 2018 Audi Q5- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Stealth Hitch hitch receiver with the tow kit on a 2018 Audi Q5. Now, this is what your hitch looks like installed on your Audi, and you're probably saying, "Well, where is it" And the great part about the Stealth Hitch is it lives up to the name Stealth because when you're not using it, you don't have to have your receiver or your ball mount in place, and that's gonna make it nice and easy, whenever you're ready to go, to take that portion, slide it up, and have it ready to go. Now, the tow kit comes with this two-inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be really nice for your cargo carriers or bike racks. And all of your components are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. Now, the hitch does not come with one. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and you're probably wondering well where is it, and that's why it has the name Stealth Hitch because it's gonna keep your Audi looking nice and clean and OEM and still have that nice luxury appearance until you need to use your two inch rack receiver. And that way, when you wanna load up your cargo carriers or bike racks you can just pop that into place and you're ready to go. Now this can only be used with bike racks and cargo carriers or other suspended accessories. This is not meant for a ball mount or towing. And if you are planning on towing your trailer I highly recommend picking up the towing kit as it'll come with a seven pole and four pole. more

But before we get into that, let's just take a minute, check this out and make sure it's gonna be right for you. With the Q5 being a really sporty and good-looking SUV, if it we're me and I was wanting to put a hitch on the back, I would want something that would look good, not be super noticeable. And out of the visible type hitches available, this one's gonna be my favorite. You're just gonna be able to see the receiver tube opening and it has a matte black carbide-type finish, which, in my opinion, looks a little more modern and almost comes off as a factory type option. more

Hi there Audi owners. Herein your 2020 Audi Q5, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Stealth hitches receiver end. We've currently got it installed now and you can't even tell that it's there. I bet you didn't even know at home that we had a hitch on here but the end is removable from the crossbar and it simply clicks into place. Our receiver end just goes right up into the hitch and there it is. You want to press it in the lock on the other side before using your hitch, but now you've got a two inch by two inch receiver for all of your accessory needs.And the cool thing about the Stealth hitch and what gives it its name is that when you're done using your hitch, we twist the lever, the end drops out, you can store it in the compartment at the back of your vehicle and you look factory once again like you don't even have a hitch down there. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class III Custom-Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2014 Audi Q5. Now here's what the hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. It's a really clean, almost factory appearance, and that's because the crosstube's going to be completely hidden behind the bumper. And the only thing we're going to see is the receiver tube and the safety chain sticking out. Since it is a Class III hitch, it's going to offer us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is really going to give us the widest varieties of accessories that we can use for our hitch.Obviously, everybody knows you can put a ball mount in here, tow a trailer, maybe we want to go down to the lake, take a jet ski or a boat with us, but it's also going to allow us to transport some bikes. If we want to take a bike ride with some friends we can put a bike rack in there, or if we just need to make some room on the inside, we can put a cargo carrier back here and lose some of that gear to the outside of our Audi.Regardless of how we're going to be using our hitch, though, all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. more

Many Q5 owners use their SUVs to do a little bit of everything. Whether it's a little bit of towing, maybe using a cargo carrier while you're on a road trip with the family, or even a bike rack to hit the trails with a few friends, this hitch is going to be a great solution for you to be able to enjoy the activities.Now for the most part, the hitch is pretty visible. However, it is tucked back quite a ways underneath the bumper, and so it is going to blend in, especially when it's on the ground. Now since it does set a little bit further back, something you're going to want to keep in mind is your clearance from your bumper here, especially if you plan on using those folding accessories.Now this is a Class III hitch, so we're going to have that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Audi Q5, you're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install, the Draw-Tite Class 3 Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76183.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You can see it's going to have a reinforced collar, give you a little bit extra stability on the receiver tube. It's got a nice rounded edge, so it fits with the contour of the vehicle. You can see the hitch does not stick out past of the outer edge of our bumper fascia. So we're not going to have to worry about hitting our legs or our shins on it when loading and unloading the back of the vehicle.It's going to have a nice black powder coat finish to resist any rust or corrosion. It's going to be a Class 3 hitch, it's going to be 2" by 2". more

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2018 Audi Q5- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Audi Q5, we're gonna be taking a look at showing you how to install the Curt custom-fit class-three trailer hitch receiver, part number C13331.Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. What I really like about this is the cross tube's gonna be completely hidden and all we're gonna see is the receiver tube sticking out, so it's not gonna take away from the looks of our Audi. It is a class three hitch, which means it's gonna give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and as we can see it has a nice reinforced collar, not only giving it added strength, but a nice finished look.Now right here, we're gonna have our hitch pinhole and it's gonna use a standard 5/8 pinning clip. Now, it doesn't come with one but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3 and as we can see, on both sides we're gonna have plenty of room whether you use a standard pin and clip or if you choose to get a locking pin and clip or even an anti-rattle device.So the safety chain connection points, it's gonna be a loop style welded to the bottom, and as you can see we're not gonna have any trouble getting most sized hooks on or off since there's plenty of room in here.Our hitch is gonna have a 750 pound tongue weight, along with a 5000 pound gross trailer weight rating. Now I do want to mention, you always want to double check the owner's manual of your Q5 to make sure you don't exceed the rating of your car.Now I'd like to give you a few measurements to help you in decided for accessories for your new hitch, such as a ball mount, bike rack, or even a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper, it's gonna be right about two and a half inches. more

This offers the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. Its part number is 75940. Here's what the hitch is going to look like installed on our Q5. As you can see, you're not going to be adding a whole lot to the rear appearance of the vehicle, still going to maintain the really nice look of it. As you can see, we've completely removed the panel located on the underside here. What this does is it eliminates the need for us to cut any of our fascia here on the rear of the vehicle. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Audi Q5 - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2016 Audi Q5 we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75940. All right, here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's very well hidden behind our factory bumper cover here. Tucks up nicely behind it. The one part really hanging down is the class III receiver with the 2 by 2 inch opening, and then our safety chain loops right here are also hanging down. I like the fact that our safety chain loops here are behind our hitch pins and below the receiver, because if you have a large locking device to secure your ball mount, sometimes if your safety chain loops are in this area here your hitch pin covers it up, and it makes it more difficult to attach your safety chain loops. When they're in this location here, it is easier for you to use. more

On the Curt when it's mounted on the vehicle you are going to be able to see this cross tube a little bit but it's also tucked back underneath the vehicle far enough that it's not going to be very noticeable. You should have enough room with most of your class 3 accessories without having to worry about them hitting the rear of your vehicle. Down here on the Draw-Tite you're only going to see from about here down, so you're really just going to see the receiver tube and the safety chain connection points. Another noticeable difference between these two hitches is the safety chain connection points. On the Curt it's got this flat steel plate on the bottom, it's got these large wholes that are cut out. Down here on the Draw-Tite it's got these two verticle steel plates on either side that are part of the reinforcement brace that goes up to that cross-tube. more

Today on this 2011 Audi Q5, we're going to show you the Curt Class III two-inch receiver hitch, part number C13136. All right, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our Audi Q5. First off, you can see the round tube body assembly and the receiver hitch. Now, it sits underneath the bumper cover here because the structure for the bumper is right above this, okay, so we really we have not much room for it. Okay Here's a two-inch opening here. It's got a nice rounded collar for reinforcement, and it uses a five-inch hitch pin in this hole right here or your favorite locking pin. more

Today on our 2010 Audi Q5 we'll be installing the Curt Hitch part number C13136. This is what you're hitch will look like once it's installed. Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to go ahead and assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is 6". From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 11-3/4". This will assist you selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack or a cargo carrier. Now let's go ahead with installation. To being our install we'll first need to remove 4 torx bit fasteners underneath. more

Today on our 2014 Audi Q5, we're going to be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13136. Now, here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now, we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 6 inches. From the top of the opening and the receiver to the ground is approximately 12 inches. Now, let's go ahead and install our hitch. We're going to go ahead and begin here. We're going to remove this center door section before we begin our installation. more
