Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and you can see, or not see, the fact that the cross tube is hidden, so you get a nice clean look of not seeing the entire hitch and only having the receiver tube opening down. So that's the benefits of having the hitch but still maintaining a nice clean look. And the etrailer hitch, I really like, because it's got the matte black powder coat finish, so it gives it a little bit stealthier look. It kind of blends in with some of the black plastic, and overall it holds up a little bit better than the gloss paint chips and scratches. Now, this is a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great when it comes to choosing accessories, bike racks, cargo carriers, or even ball mounts for towing a trailer. more

So when it comes to how this hitch sits on the vehicle, one thing you're probably gonna notice right out of the gate is that you really don't see much besides that receiver tube and that's gonna be true for a lot of the other hitch options available for the RAV4. This one from CURT is gonna be a class 2, offering an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. So the reason you might go with that smaller receiver tube opening is maybe you already have an accessory that you're bringing over from a previous vehicle that had an inch and a quarter hitch like a bike rack. more

This is the EcoHitch Class III Receiver Hitch, that we installed on our 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Draw-Tite class two trailer hitch receiver on a 2023 Toyota Rav4. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and it is mostly hidden except for you have a plate here, your engine a quarter receiver opening, as well as your safety chain loops. But the cross member is hidden behind the rear fascia so you get a nice clean look. Now being that this is a class two that does mean that this is gonna be an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening and you are gonna be a little bit limited compared to a two inch receiver tube opening. But, for bike racks and cargo carriers, and even a small ball mount for a trailer, this is gonna be a great option and all of your accessories are gonna stay in place with a half inch pin and clip. more

Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and it is gonna be a hidden cross tube. So all that you're gonna see is the receiver tube opening, and the safety chain loops from the bottom, so you get all the usability without really sacrificing any looks. And this one is gonna be an inch and a quarter, which is gonna limit you a little bit as far as accessories, like ball mounts, cargo carriers, and bike racks. But I have one of these on my vehicle, and I'm still able to use it quite often. Now, when putting your accessories in place, you are gonna use a half inch pin clip, and it's not included with the hitch. more

Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Draw-Tite Hidden Hitch on a 2020 Toyota RAV4. Now, here we have our hitch actually installed on the vehicle and you may say, well, where is it And that's why this is the hidden hitch. Reason being is you can actually take your receiver tube opening out and store it elsewhere, that way you get a nice clean look when you're not using it. So you can see here, you have your holes for your safety chain loops but other than that, there's nothing here. Now, when you are ready to actually hook up to your trailer or any of your accessories, what you're gonna do is simply take this blue knob and you're gonna push it in and then twist back and that should lock that in place. more

For the most part, it's going to be completely hidden. Really, the only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening. And so, it really just helps maintain that factory appearance. And it's going to be able to do that without sacrificing any clearance.So what I mean by that, the hitch is going to sit up nice and tight against the bottom of the car, giving us some good ground clearance. more

Conner: Hey guys, how's it going Connor here today at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a look at the CURT class 3 trailer hitch here for our 2020 Toyota Rav4. So our CURT class 3 hitch is going to be an excellent option here for our Rav4, we have the larger two inch receiver tube opening, which is going to allow us to tow trailers and we're also going to have a much greater variety of hitch mounted accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers to choose from. So our CURT hitch here has a class 3 rating, which is going to provide us with a 4,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. And that's going to be how much we can pull outward on our fully loaded trailer. We're also going to have a 600 pound tongue weight rating, which is going to be the downward vertical force on our receiver tube opening.Now keep in mind we do need to check the vehicle's owners manual and abide by the lowest rating component. more

We're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class II trailer hitch receiver here for our 2020 Toyota RAV4.Our Draw-Tite trailer hitch here is going to be an excellent option for our RAV4. As you can see, we have the 1-1/4" receiver tube opening that's going to allow us to pull a trailer or haul a bike rack or cargo carrier, whichever we want to use it for. So our Draw-Tite Class II trailer hitch here is going to give us a 3,500 pound gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount we can pull outward on our fully loaded trailer. It's also going to have a 350 pound tongue weight rating, which is going to be the downward force on our receiver tube. This is going to be plenty for small or medium duty trailers. more

Bob: Bob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the etrailer class 3 custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2008 Toyota RAV4. This is what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube isn't going to be visible underneath, but the flat black finish on our hitch blends in really well, and its not going to be as noticeable. But the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out, and since it is a class 3, it is going to give us that 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, which is going to have the widest variety of accessories that we can mount up. Whether we want to make more room on the inside and put a cargo carrier, we're going to move all our gear to the outside, or if we want to take a bike ride, we can put a bike rack in there and take some bikes with us, or if we need to move a small trailer, we can put a ball out and tow a trailer with it. But regardless of whatever we're going to be using it for, we're going to mount all of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here on the side.Now, the hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today you're going to be taking a look at the CURT class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2008 Toyota RAV4. Now, here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to sit right below the bumper and it is going to be visible, but the main thing we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. Since it's class 3, it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. It's going to have the widest variety of options when it comes to accessories that we can mount up. For you to make some room on the inside, we can mount a cargo carrier, put all that gear on the outside of our vehicle, make some room for passengers or pets, or if you want to take a bike ride, we could put a bike rack in here, that way we can hit the trail. more

If we need to make some room inside of our Rav 4, we can move some gear to the outside if we use a cargo carrier. Or if you want to hit the trails, we can put a bike rack in there and take some bikes with us. Or if we just need to tow a trailer, we can put a ball mount in. You can see our hitch has a really nice clean appearance to it, almost a factory look that's because the most part of the cross tube is going to be hidden behind the bumper and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. Now it is a Class II, which means it's going to give us an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. It can be great for cargo carriers or even bike racks or if you have some really light duty towing. However, the larger receiver tube opening on our Class III hitch, which is going to be a two inch by two inch, those are going to have the most options when it comes to accessories. Now regardless of what accessories we're going to put in, all of them are going to be mounted using the hitch pin hole here on the side.Now our hitch is going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. more

Now these are not included in the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure.If you do plan on doing some light duty towing our receiver chain connection points are going to be a plate style welded to the bottom and you can see we have plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off, but if you are using a rather small hook, just keep in mind it may have a little bit of limitation when it comes to movement because of the flange right here.As far as the weight capacity goes, our hitch is going to have a 300 pound tongue weight, which is the maximum downward force of the receiver tube, along with a 3,500 pound gross trailer weight rating. That's the amount our hitch can pull including the trailer and everything we have loaded on it. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Toyota RAV4 - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2011 RAV4 we're going to be taking a look and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75235. This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. As you can see, the cross tube is visible, however, it is a round tube design so it's going to fit nicely with the contour of the vehicle. It's going to be a Class III hitch, two inch by two inch. You can see we have a reinforced collar to give it a little extra stability on the receiver tube. Hitch pin hole, which is this one here, is going to be 5/8th inch in diameter. more

Our hitch it going to give some inch and a quarter by inch and quarter receiver tube opening which is going to be great for some bike racks and cargo carriers.The way we're going to mount any of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here on the side and it is going to take a half inch pin and clip. These are not included in the kit but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com as well as some locking devices to keep your accessories secure.Our stage chain connections are going to be a plate style welded to the bottom and we're not going to have too much trouble getting most sized hooks on or off but you do have rather small hooks, just keep in mind this flange here may be a problem. Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Toyota RAV4, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number E98864. Here's what our hitch looks like once we have it installed on our RAV4. The cross tube is going to hang just below the bumper, and it is going to be visible, but it is set back a little bit and not that noticeable, but what I really like about our etrailer hitch here is the finish. It's going to have that flat black carbide finish opposed to the high gloss finish that's on a lot of hitches. So, it blends in really nicely at the bottom and it is less noticeable.It's a class III hitch, which means it's going to give us a 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, and give us a lot of different options of any kind of accessory that we want to mount up. Now, the way we're going to mount any of those accessories is to the hitch pin hole here in the side, and it is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip, and while these aren't included in the kit, you can pick them up here at etrailer.com along with locking devices to keep your accessories secure.Now, our safety chain connection points are going to be a loop style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube, and as you can see, we're not going to have too much trouble getting most sized hooks on or off, and have plenty of room to make sure they don't interfere with our hitch pin or locking device. more

Speaker 1: Today in this 2012 Toyota RAV4 we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class III trailer hitch receiver, part number 75235.Here's what the hitch looks like installed. One of the first things you'll notice about this hitch is that we have a lot clearance around the receiver, which makes this a great hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers, which is what we found that many of our customers are purchasing hitches for, for the RAV4.On the side of our receiver you'll find two pin holes. The larger diameter one here, that's our industry standard 5/8th of an inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure your hitch mount accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip separately on our website as part number PC3. Closest to the rear, this smaller hole is for our J-Pin stabilization device. And what that does is take away some inaudible 00:00:45 shape play and rattle inaudible 00:00:47 what is inserted in your receiver. more
