Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2014 Ford F-53 motorhome, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Exact Center steering stabilizer. Before we get into that though, let's take a moment, we'll check this out, and make sure it's gonna work for you. Underneath the motorhome, this is what the Exact Center can look like, and it's a pretty simple concept and design and how it's gonna work, which is good, right One end of it, it's gonna connect to your front axle, and the other end is going to connect to your tie rod. And so we're gonna have another point of contact. Inside of here, it's gas charged. more

Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2014 Ford F 53 Chassis Motor Home, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Hellwig Front Sway Bar Kit. Before we do that though, let's take a minute, check this out and make sure it's going to work for you. Here's what the sway bar can look like installed on the front of your motor home. And the whole point of a sway bar is to help control and minimize body roll and sway, which, you know, those are pretty bad on a big coach, right These are just big, huge boxes going down the road. And I'm sure if you're watching this, you probably realize you need a little bit of extra help when it comes to suspension and making your driving experience actually pleasurable because I can imagine you get caught out on some twisty roads or windy days trying to control a big old, big old coach like this isn't the most comforting thing to do. more

Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2018 Ford F-53- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Hellwig Rear Sway Bar on a 2018 Ford F-53 Motorhome Chassis. This is what your sway bar is gonna look like when it's installed, and what's really nice is it uses a lot of the factory mounting points that are already there, and that does include changing out the U-bolts for new ones, and this plate will just slide over where those existing ones were, you get new hardware to bolt this up, we also, off of that new bracket, have our brackets with our polyurethane bushings, and that's something throughout this whole sway bar, you have polyurethane in all of the bushings, which make it a much smoother operation, they don't break down long-term, and they hold up really, really well to weather or any chemicals that you might see out on the road. Going along with that factory mounting, we do have a bracket up here that's gonna go to a cross member that's on your frame already, and it's gonna utilize three of those bolts, or at least those bolt holes to get this attached. So it's solidly mounted to your frame as well as your U-bolts, and just kind of follows along with your rear axle, so that way, when one side has a little bit of weight onto it, it's gonna fight against it. Now something you may notice is, this is on the rear of the axle from the factory, these actually have one in the front, so this is just gonna help out that front one do a little bit more of that sway control. And this being an inch and 3/4 inch thick, means that it has quite a bit of tension to be able to really fight against the sway, even with a vehicle this heavy. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2021 Ford F-53- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer on a 2021 Ford F-53 Motor Home chassis. The steering stabilizer is a pretty simple method of making sure that your wheels track straight and it's accomplished by mounting up to the tie rod. That way when you steer, it's either gonna compress the spring or bring it back to center by pulling it. So no matter which way you turn, it's gonna wanna always bring it back to that center so that way it's tracking straight. So when you make those turns or if you're hitting any cross winds, big bumps or uneven roads, that steering wheel's gonna kind of track straightforward for you. And that way you're not having to really fight the wheel, which is gonna reduce road fatigue and white knuckling while driving your RV. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Hellwig Front Anti-Sway Bar on a 2019 Ford F-53 Motorhome chassis. Now, upgrading a front sway bar is gonna make a huge difference every time you drive your vehicle. I've upgraded sway bars on many of my own personal vehicles, just to give it a little bit sportier handling. But when it comes to something large like this, that's essentially a large sail going down the highway, you're gonna feel that in the steering wheel, that sway side to side, makes a little bit more white-knuckle. And also when you turn and you're kind of just feeling that top lean instead of make a nice crisp turn, that's where a sway bar comes in handy. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar on a Ford F-53 Motorhome Chassis. Now when choosing any upgrades for your suspension, you really wanna determine what do you need to do with it. If you are truly feeling sway, or anytime a gust of wind comes along and you're really kind of having to fight to bring it back to center, or if you're just making turns and it still seems like it's squashed to one side when making another quick turn, that rear anti-sway bar is gonna make a huge difference. Because it's using the weight of the chassis and structurally mounting to the axle, as it flexes to one side, it's gonna fight against it on the other, bringing it back to that center. And really flat is good when it comes to handling, that just means that it's gonna be better overall for parking lot driving or small maneuvering, but also out on the highway. This is what your sway bar is gonna look like when it's installed, and you see that it sits on the rear of the differential. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at a product that can help you if you're driving down the highway, and you've got some wander to your coach, whether it's from the wind or uneven pavement. This is gonna be Roadmaster's Exact Center steering stabilizer, that we're gonna install, on our 2019 Ford F-53 chassis. So we're under the coach right now, and this is what your stabilizer is gonna look like, when it's mounted up under here, it's much like a steering stabilizer that you might have on your vehicle as well, this is nitrogen, it's gas charged. And this is gonna be pressurized both directions when you turn left and right. It's gonna tie in to your factory spring pack over here on the bottom side. more

If you have a motor coach like this, and it has the Ford F-53 chassis, and you're tired of fighting the steering going down the road, whether it's due to crosswinds or uneven pavement, and we've got a product today that's gonna help with that. And one of the reasons I like this kit so much is it's truly a bolt-on kit, and you can get this done at home. This is an all-aluminum cylinder. Today we have a 2018 Ford F-53 Motorhome chassis, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer. When you have an RV, something of this size, when you hit little bumps in the road or a semi passes you on the road or just any truck or trailer of any size, the feeling that you get when you're driving 60 or 70 miles an hour down the road is very, very unnerving. What'll happen is you'll feel that suction and the wheels will want to, the whole RV is wanting to follow the suction from that truck when it passes. Adding the steering stabilizer is gonna take some of that away. It's not gonna take it all away because you look at the size of the rig we have, you can only imagine how big of a steering stabilizer we'd have to have to have no movement and at that point, you wouldn't be able to turn it at all because it would be fighting you too much. more

Roadmaster Class A Motorhomes Exact Center Steering Stabilizer Installation - 2016 Ford F-53- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here at etrailer. And today I'm going to be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer here on our 2016 Ford F-53 chassis. If you experience a lot of wandering when you're going down the highway, maybe you have a lot of high crosswinds or when a semi comes by, starts to kind of push you and you really have to fight that steering wheel back and it's kind of just a little bit too hard or harder than it should be. Then what you're gonna wanna do is install the Roadmaster Exact Center Steering Stabilizer. This steering stabilizer has a nitrogen gas filled shock in the center of it, so there's no more big heavy coil that's gonna be sittin' on there, that you'll have to deal with. And what it's gonna do is just keep this tie rod in place, keep you going exactly straight. more

An anti-sway bar is a pretty much essential component of your motor home, especially when you have a Class A motor home, like we do today. Basically what this does, is this is gonna help with your steering. It's gonna kind of keep you in line a little bit better. It's gonna also handle kind of that sway, as you're making tight turns, or if you're up on the highway, hitting the crosswinds when a semi comes by, or maybe it's just a honestly windy day and kinda pushing you, and it's just gonna kinda help keep that body roll from happening. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2015 Ford F-53- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar here on our Ford F-53 motor home. So, rear anti-sway bars are going to give you a much more comfortable ride. The way that they work is that whenever you're starting to make that turn, maybe you have some wind 'cause you're out driving on the highway, maybe you're passing a semi and it's starting to kind of push you one way. What this does is it kind of yanks back down on that frame 'cause as you're getting kind of pushed to that side, that side of your frame's kinda lifting up and then you're losing traction with your tires. So what this does is it pulls it back down, keeps you nice and straight, that way you have more contact with the road, you can make those turns a whole lot easier and kind of deal with all those cross winds. This anti-sway bar and its brackets are all made with a 4140 chromoly steel, so you know it's gonna hold up. more

And it's also going to help out all those Jeep owners that face that death wobble issue where your steering wheel kind of wobbles back and forth and then kind of throws off your handling and can eventually lead to a car accident. The sway bar here that we've put on from Roadmaster is an additional rear sway bar that you'll add to your Motorhome. So, it's not a replacement sway bar. So, if you do have any kind of damage or something like that to your factory one, you would wanna take care of that but you can still add this to get even further anti-sway benefits. Our factory one's located here on the front of our differential, our rear axle here. But the one from Roadmaster that we install goes just behind the rear axle here. more

Hi there motor homeowners', today in your 2020 Ford F-53 Chassis motor home, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster sway bar for the rear axle. And this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. This is an additional sway bar that we're putting on the rear axle here that works in conjunction with the factory sway bar, and you can actually see a little bit of the factory sway bar hanging down here. The factory sway bar is just on the front side of your rear axle. And the one that we're adding from Roadmaster here goes on the rear side of our rear axle. By adding an additional sway bar, we're gonna get significant improvements in anti-sway cause whenever our motor home wants to rock to the left or to the right, this component here wants to remain in its normal resting position that we've got it in here. more

And this is what our replacement sway bar looks like when it's installed. This is gonna be a bigger, beefier sway bar over our factory one. It's gonna give us just an increase in its anti-sway properties by being stronger than the previous one. You also get new end links, which is pretty nice because if you're upgrading your motor home, this is one of the first things that goes bad on your sway bar in your factory one is the end links, they usually wear out on the ends there. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2019 Ford F-53- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar on a 2019 Ford F-53 chassis. So before having the rear sway bar installed, we're gonna take this out on our test course and see what we're kind of looking at as far as not having a sway bar installed and later we're gonna come back and take a look with it installed to see the difference. Now we're gonna go over a few bumps which with the sway bar you're really not gonna notice too much of a difference. It might tighten the suspension up a little as it goes over maybe off centered bumps. But as far as like your straight speed bumps, it shouldn't really cause an issue because as the rear sway bar moves up and down, it's not really affecting it too much. more

Hi there motor home owners, Fanger 2017 Ford F-53 chassis motorhome. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster steering stabilizer. And this is what our steering stabilizer looks like when it's installed. It attaches to the suspension over on the passenger side, right onto our axle where the leaf spring attaches to it. And then the other end here attaches to our drag link here, or your tie rod, whichever you want to call it. Now, before we install our components, we're gonna go and hit our test course to get a baseline on how motorhome feels. We're gonna start with the uneven bumps section, which is gonna simulate hitting a pothole. And right away, once we hit that first one, we get some rocking going back and forth there. So we can tell it's a little bit of slight lift, pretty good rock just from one little bump there. more

And this provides a dampening, as well as a spring resistance, that ensures that your steering wheel stays in the center. Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2011 Ford F-53- Video
Hi there, motor home owners. Today on your 2011 Ford F-53 Chassis, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's rear anti-sway bar, and this is what our sway bar looks like, when it's installed. It's an additional sway bar that is installed in tandem with your factory sway bar, which is located just on the other side of our axle here, except this sway bar is significantly more robust than that factory sway bar. It's significantly thicker diameter, and it's made up of 4140 chromoly steel, so it's going to be stronger than the one that we had there, but since it's installed on this side of our axle, we're going to be getting the support from our original factory one, in addition to this one.So, whenever our motor home wants to go to the left or to the right, and that body starts to roll, in order for the suspension to allow it to do that, that's going to pull up on this part of our sway bar, and it's going to push down on the opposite side here, and it's going to cause our sway bar to flex, and it doesn't want to flex. It wants to stay in this normal position here, so once it does flex, this larger thicker bar here's going to help bring our motor home back upright again, so it can return to its position. What this means for you, as the driver, is you're going to have more confidence in the stability of your motor home, because when you go to make turns, especially quick turns, such as an evasive maneuver, normally your motor home is going to tilt hard to one side.Having this here's going to minimize how much your motor home's going to tilt, so you're not going to feel like you're going to roll over. more

Hi there, motor home owners. Today in your 2020 Ford F-53 chassis, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's reflex steering stabilizer. We're now going to take it out on our test course. The biggest section that I expect you're going to notice a difference in here is going to be on the uneven bump section, because that somewhat simulates a pothole. It's a little bit the opposite of how a pothole is. It's going to be raised rather than a sunken hole, but it should still cause our steering wheel to want to go one direction or the other, since only one wheel is going to be hitting that obstruction.This is some pretty sturdy suspension on here already, so it doesn't really seem to be affecting it too much here on our test course. more

Hi, there F-53 owners. Today in your 2014 Ford F-53 chassis Motorhomes, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Reflex Steering Stabilizer. And this is what our stabilizer looks like when it's installed. One side will attach to your axle using your existing U-bolts and the other side will clamp around the tire rod that connects between the two wheels. The shock inside the assembly will act as a dampener so any potholes and things that you hit that may jerk the wheel to one direction, will minimize how much jerkiness you feel there, due to that shock absorber inside. The coiled spring on top of the shock absorber will help bring the steering wheel back to center, so you're not fighting so hard to maintain control of the vehicle. more

Hi there F53 owners. Today in your 2014 Ford F53 Chassis Motorhome we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Rear Anti Sway Bar. And this is what your sway bar is going to look like when it's installed. It's going to work with your factory sway bar, which is located just on the other side of your axle, so you're going to have double the amount of anti sway on your vehicle. That auxiliary sway bar that we've added here is a thicker diameter bar, so it's going to be even stronger than the factory bar that's located on the other side. So what this means for you is that over the life of your RV, you're going to experience less sway so you won't have so much rocking back and forth. more

How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2015 Ford F53, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer. A motor home's steering is usually anything but tight. And so, what that means is you're really going to have to fight that steering wheel as you're driving, trying to go straight down the road. And with wind catching them, they tend to kind of wander and get blown all over the place, which intern, will lead you to over-correcting and having just to fight that wheel.And when you over correct like that too, what tends to happen is your motor home tends to sway a little bit more and just make that ride a lot more uncomfortable. So, before we install our stabilizer, what we like to do is take it for a drive around our test course to see how it performs. more

Having a motorhome can be great, but one thing that nobody really seems to talk about is how difficult it can be to drive sometimes. Because let's face it, we have a large area for wind to catch that can start pushing us around when we're driving down the road, which can be a little spooky for some people, and not that enjoyable.What our Roadmaster Anti Sway for side to side movement, what a good set of shocks would do for the up and down. It's going to take a lot of that pressure off, and we're not going to have so much wind, feeling like it's pushing us around, which means we can relax more and not fight that steering wheel. So here, you can see the difference between our factory sway bar and our new Roadmaster. Our factory one is going to be an inch and a half in diameter, whereas our Roadmaster is going to be an inch and three quarters in diameter. more

Today on our 2018 Ford F53 Chassis Motor-home, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Road Master Reflex Steering Stabilizer, Part Number RM-RBK22-RSSA.A lot of things can cause our motor-home to veer, whether it be uneven pavement, a really strong crosswind, or even just the crown on the road. Once it starts to veer we have to fight that steering wheel to get our motor-home back to center. That can be extremely tiresome, especially on those long trips. Our Road Master Reflex Steering Stabilizer is going to minimize a lot of that. We're not gonna feel so tired, because we're not gonna have to fight the steering wheel trying to get it back to center.Here's where our steering stabilizer is gonna look like once we have it installed. Our steering stabilizer is gonna have this spring, when it's in the center position it'll have a little bit of tension, but once we turn one way the spring is gonna extend and naturally wanna come back to its resting state. more

This steering stabilizer is going to help reduce fatigue when driving down the road. The large spring and dampener will absorb shocks on the road from uneven pavement, potholes and rough terrain. What this means for you is that when you're driving down the road it's going to easier to maintain a straight line in your vehicle so you're going to have a safer journey to your destination.Additionally, since it's doing some of the work for you with its gash shock dampener and the large spring that helps return it to center you're going to have more energy when you get to your destination because it's going to help bring that back to center without you having to do it all yourself, struggling to maintain that straight line. Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 ACE Thor Motorcoach on the Thor F-53 Chassis we're gonna take a look at showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti sway bar, part number 113-144. We will also be using the extended U bold kit for Roadmaster anti sway bars, part number RN-590050-00.This kit is gonna come with a 1-3/4 inch diameter sway bar designed to improve the handling of your vehicle by reducing body roll and balancing the weight transfer during cornering. It's gonna come with all necessary hardware to get it installed.To begin installation, what we're gonna be doing is we're gonna be taking this plate off and we're gonna be replacing these U bolts. And before doing that, if you're going to do this and lift the vehicle where your wheels are off the ground, you wanna make sure you put jack stands and support this axle. Because what's gonna happen is when you take this plate off, the axle will drop. So you need to make sure you have it sitting on something.What you're gonna wanna do is you're gonna wanna spray down each bolt with some lubrication, just gonna help these come off a little bit easier. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2017 Ford F-53- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Newmar Canyon Star on our Ford F-53 Chassis, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the ROADMASTER rear anti-sway bar. Part number RM-1139-149. Customer: I've had it for five months now, and we've already put 10,000 miles on it, and when we drove from Kansas City to Minot, North Dakota and back, we've got a lot of crosswinds and stuff. And although this thing handles pretty good, when you get in the crosswinds and you get a lot of tractor trailers flying by you, it takes off and will try to push you off to the side and then, suck you back onto the road, and I didn't like that. So we started looking for some enhancements to enhance the handling and stability of it, and found etrailer online, and I had looked at them before for some other stuff years ago and used them. So I thought, "Let me check and see if they've got anything," and sure enough, they did, and we ordered it, didn't quite get everything we we're trying to get. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Coachman Pursuit on the Ford F-53 chassis we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar. Part number is RM-1139-146.Now here's what our sway bar's going to look like installed. Now the need for a sway bar comes from motor homes just like what we've got here. They have higher centers of gravity, so as we're traveling down the road we get a crosswind that wants to tip the top of our RV side to side. Uneven pavement, ruts in the road, there's several symptoms like you're passing semis that start that sway in your coach. With our upgraded sway bar in place, we get a connection point from our axle right here up to the frame. more
