Hi John with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Redarc in vehicle battery charger in conjunction with the BCDC wiring kit that's available here at etrailer. This is going in on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. So this is how we installed the charger on our Silverado today. This system is great for charging an auxiliary battery that you have it, it can take multiple inputs. This can even regulate solar panels. more

Hey guys, Kevin with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect Switch here on our 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500. To flat tow your vehicle you need five main components and that's gonna be your towbar, your base plate, your diode wiring, your braking system and then also your safety cables. Now there are gonna be a couple of outlier products whether it's gonna be a relay, a stoplight switch kit or in our case a battery disconnect and if you have any questions or you just don't know exactly what you need for your vehicle, you can reach out to us via our expert link and send them a question asking for the right components for your specific vehicle and someone like me or one of my other coworkers will answer your question. If you plan on towing your Chevy Silverado 2500, you are gonna be required to remove the positive post on your battery. That's gonna protect some of the internal components and prevent battery draining as you're flat towing. Now, that's gonna require you removing this cover and pulling the battery cable off every single time and putting it back on when you do need to use your vehicle which can be quite a hassle. more

What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we'll be checking out the BAKbox and we're gonna install it on this revolver tonneau cover which is on this 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Gonna work with the BAK Revolver X2, BAK roll-X, and BAKflip tonneau covers. One of the trade offs you usually have to have If you have a tonneau cover is you can't have a toolbox. Usually those go over the rails, there are some in bed truck box toolboxes that sit in the bed but then that's gonna take up all your space in the bed too. It's gonna go to the ground, you'll have to anchor it there. more

Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today on our 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be taking a look at the Demco Hijacker autosliding 5th Wheel System for your OEM puck system. This system's gonna be for you if you have the OEM puck system and you have a short bed. Basically what happens is with these short beds, as you start turning, a lot of the ones, you're gonna have to manually release so you can slide it back so you're not gonna have any damage happening to the cab of your truck. With this one, as it starts to rotate, it's gonna slide back automatically to prevent any contact from happening. We're gonna get about 14 inches of slide with our 5th wheel head and it is gonna rotate up to 90 degrees with our trailer. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Elite Series underbed rail adapter kit for standard fifth wheel hitches on our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. So here's what our adapter is going to look like once we have it installed. And what this is going to do is it's going to allow us to use a standard fifth wheel that normally would install in above bed rails and install into this adapter. Because the adapter is actually going to go directly into the Reese Elite Series underbed kit, which is a puck system. more

Curt Welded Weight Distribution Shank Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today in our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be installing Curt's welded weight distribution shank. This weight distribution shank is gonna give you either a drop or rise, or however you need to install your ball mount for your weight distribution system. It works with a 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver and has ten bolt holes to allow you to adjust the height for your weight distribution system. It's a powder coated steel so it's resistant against corrosion, so you can ensure it's gonna last a long time. It has a weight capacity of up 1,500 pounds. And that completes our installation of Curt's welded weight distribution shank on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. more

Truck Bed Cargo Camera Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be installing the truck bed cargo camera. And this works with both seven or eight inch factory monitors. To determine which one you need for your vehicle, you'll measure your screen diagonally from corner to corner.And this is what our camera looks like when it's installed. It goes right behind your factory third brake lamp. And the camera sticks down below. The camera is adjustable, you do have to move it manually in order to readjust it. more

Pollak Pigtail Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Pollak four foot pigtail wiring harness, part number PK11998. Here's everything that's going to come with our kit. We're going to have all our butt connectors as well as a ring terminal and our harness that's going to have a four foot lead on it. Now what's great about this harness, is it can be used either as a replacement for your damaged or broken harness at the back of your vehicle or in our case, we're going to be using it in the bed of our truck for a fifth wheel adapter off of our factory harness. Now as far as the butt connectors go, since our connections are going to be made underneath the vehicle. To keep it protected against any corrosion and moisture, I'm going to be replacing these butt connectors with heat shrink butt connectors and you can pick those up on our website using part number DW05745-10 and that'll be for a pack of 10. more
