Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox- Video

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Chevy Equinox, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver. But before we do that, why don't we check this out and make sure it's gonna be the right hitch for you So first and foremost, really, before we get started the first thing that I recommend doing is making sure your car don't have the hitch on it already because on some models, there will be a panel here in the center. You can take out a couple of screws and sometimes there'll be a factory hitch behind there and it sounds silly but sometimes it's easy to miss. We've seen it before where a vehicle come in to get a hitch and there's one on it, just happens so check that first. But with that said, if you check it, you don't have it, you realize you need a hitch. more

EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV- Video

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install, the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver here on our 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV. So this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed on our vehicle here. Now it does have a hidden cross tube meaning the part that connects either side of our flange is gonna be tucked up behind the bumper. So, the only thing we are gonna be able to see is the receiver tube. Now our trailer hitch has a nice black powder coated finish which is number one, gonna help protect the hitch from rust. And number two, it's gonna help it blend in with the underbody paneling on the vehicle here. more

It looks pretty good considering this is a hidden cross tube so really all that's gonna be hanging down is the actual receiver tube opening by itself. So it gives it a little bit more of an OEM look than some of the other hitches that hang down. Another thing that's really nice is the matte black powder coat finish here not only does it look good but it's also gonna keep it from rust and corrosion long term. more

So this is what our trailer hitch looks like installed. This actually has a hidden cross tube design, which means the cross tube is actually tucked away behind the bumper here. So the only thing we can see is the actual receiver tube, which makes for the best overall appearance. Now, what we can see has a nice shiny black powder coated finish, which is gonna help it blend in with the vehicle well, it's also gonna help protect our hitch from rust. So our receiver here does have a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is an industry standard size. more

When you're looking for a hitch for your Chevrolet Volt, backend sits a little bit low, when you compare this to the other two that are available, this one's not going to limit you to ground clearance. And it's going to be completely hidden when it's not in use. For this one, a receiver is actually going to be located right behind our license plate, where the other two, would come out down here at the bottom of our fascia. So there are a couple of different finish options on the market, most of them have more of a glossier powder coated finish, the etrailer hitch however, has more of a matte powder coated finish, and what this does is it does a better job of hiding nicks and scratches, it also helps them blend in with the vehicle more. more

While these compact vehicles do have a lot of upsides, providing us with excellent fuel savings and things like that, the downside is we don't have a ton of space on the inside. So if you're looking to carry around some things, maybe some bicycles, you're really gonna be limited on what you can keep inside. So by adding a hitch back here, that's really going to allow us to use different types of accessories and open up our options on what we can carry around. So probably my favorite thing about this hitch is the fact that it gives us that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening. more

Curt Class V XD Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video

Now, our customer does have an aftermarket bed installed on his truck here, but all the attachment points are going to be the same on your truck. The bed here doesn't interfere. If you do have any type of components like this, you just want to check the frame on the bottom side as well as on the inside of the frame, because that's where our attachments go. Once you have a factory bumper, it is going to stick out fairly similar to this one, although you're not going to have this cutout right here.It's a Class 5 2 x 2 inch receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your towing needs. more

And this is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. The cross tube's going to be hidden behind the bumper, so you're only going to see the receiver here at the back. It's a class I, 1-1/4 by 1-1/4 receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your light duty applications. You'll be able to put a two bike platform rack in it, and you could also do some very light towing with it as well. more

It's really going to open up a lot of doors, so we can transport gear with us and make it a little bit easier rather than trying to put everything in the inside of our Bolt. And I personally think if you're going to be using it for a cargo carrier or a bike rack, I prefer a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier rather than a roof mounted one, because I personally don't like the idea of lifting my bike over my head and having to get so close to the car to get it up there. more
