Today on our 2008 Nissan XTerra, we'll be taking a look at the Tow Ready Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7 Way Trailer Connector, part number 118266. This is what our 7 pull will look like once we have everything installed. To use it, you'll just open the door here, plug in any of your accessories and then head out down the road. To begin our install, the first thing we need to do is locate our vehicle's tow port connectors. They'll be one here on the driver's side and then another one right here. To remove the cap, they'll be a little tab right here that you can push in. It might help to use a flat blade screw driver, helps just wiggle that flat braided screw driver in there. more

Here's what our 4 flat connectors is going to look like once it's installed. A 4 flat trailer connector copies the basic running turn and brake signal functions from the vehicle and sends them to the trailer or accessory. The 4 flat connector is pretty standard across the industry and fits a variety of applications. Let's go ahead and show you how to install it. Now, to begin our install we're going to open the rear hatch. We need to remove both of the manufacture tail light assemblies. Now, to remove the tail light assemblies we'll start by removing the 2 fasteners that secure it. more

Today on our 2015 Nissan Murano, we're going to review an install of the Curt Custom Fit 4-Pole Trailer Connector, part number C56267. Before we install it let's go and review our trailer wiring. Open up the rear hatch and spare tire cover. Take our 4-flat trailer connector wiring out, running it out over the vehicle threshold. However, stay away from the latch, as pinching it off in the latch can harm the wire, but the threshold seal is thick enough that it won't harm the wire. Then we'll close the rear hatch on the wiring. Once it's closed I'll pull out the wire necessary, so that we can run it down to our hitch or accessory. more

Today in our 2014 Nissan Murano, we're going to review and install the tow-ready, custom fit vehicle wiring harness with four pole trailer connector, part number 118653. This is a standard four flat trailer connector with a ground wire, running light, driver side turn signal and brake, and passenger side turn signal and brake circuits. Fits most standard four flat trailer connectors. Built on here is a nice cap for protecting the four flat end and it stores nicely inside. With our tow-ready harness installed, we can open up the rear cargo area and center cover and see that it's nicely stored inside, and out of the elements. To use it, we'll simply take the four flat connector, run it out over the threshold, making sure that we stay away from the latch. Then we can go ahead and close the rear hatch on it as the weather stripping is thick enough that it won't harm the wire. Once the door is closed, we'll pull out what wire is necessary to run down to our hitch or accessory. Once we're finished using our four flat connector, we can simply open up the rear hatch storage compartment and store it in with the spare tire. more

Speaker: Today on this 2010 Nisan Frontier, we're going to show you the Kurt 00:00:05 T-Connector Vehicle Wire Harness for a factory tow package, part number C56225. Let's go ahead and show you what comes with the part number. First off, you get this wire harness here which plugs into the factory tow package behind the bumper on a truck and it comes out four-pull 00:00:21 flat. It also comes with a cover for a four-pull 00:00:29 flat. It comes with a small hardware bag with some zip ties, this is the main wire harness right here; this actually gets installed up towards the front of the vehicle on the passenger side. This kit will fit in the blanks for the factory tow package; it's not existing on a truck right now. Let's go ahead and work with the wire harness inaudible 00:00:45 relays. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to review and install the Tow Ready, Tow Package Wiring Harness with 7-blade Connector, part number 118266. Here's what our 7-blade connector will look like when it's installed. With our 7-blade installed and secured tightly, all we have to do is open up the door on our 7-blade connector, plug in our trailering or towing product so that we can send our truck signals back to the trailer. To begin our install, we first need to locate the manufacturer's tow package connectors. Now once we locate the manufacturer's tow port connectors, we need to remove the weather cap off of each end. To do that we'll press on the locking tab, pulling down, removing the cap. Now we can bring in our new 7-blade wiring harness and connectors, we'll take the matching connector to the manufacturer's tow port, plug them in, making sure that they lock in place. more

Now to begin our install we'll first go ahead and open up the rear hatch and then remove the spare tire cover. Next we'll remove the foam compartment next to the spare tire on the driver side. With that out of the way we'll go ahead and remove the rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold we'll get underneath it with a flat blade screwdriver or an interior trim panel tool to release the fasteners underneath. Once we've removed the threshold we'll set it aside. next we'll go ahead and remove the spare tire. more

Let's open up the back hatch, and we'll remove all the floor coverings, getting down to the spare tire. We'll take this panel, raises up, and remove this tray. Get this cover for the spare tire out of our way, and our side panels here. They'll be one on each side of the car. Now these pockets right here, we have to loosen up as well. There's two bolts on the inside, and a 10 millimeter socket will get them loose. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer 00:00:06 connector. Part number 118481. To begin our install, we'll first open up the hatch as we'll need to remove some of the interior paneling to gain access to the manufacturer's wiring behind the tail light. We'll first need to remove the center spare tire cover as lifting it up and out of the way is just not adequate enough to get the rear storage compartment out. To remove it, we'll need to remove the cover over the rear cargo hooks. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, we can pop the cap up and then remove the fastener. more

Today on our 2011 Nissan Altima we'll be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118470. To begin with we'll need to go ahead and raise the trunk lid up. Next we'll go ahead and remove the three tabs that hold the rear plastic threshold in place. Once that's been removed, now we need to go to each side, the driver as well as the passenger side, and remove a push tab similar to what we just removed to remove the threshold. We'll need to pull each one out so that we can peel the carpet back to allow us access to the wiring connection. Here on the passenger side we'll make the connection with the wiring harness that has the green wire and the end connectors. First we need to disonnect the factory connections. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Alitma, we'll be installing the Tow Ready Wiring Harness, part number 118470. This is a wiring harness that will generally be in the trunk of our vehicle when not in use. When needed, simply open the trunk and pull the harness out. When routed to where it needs to be, go ahead and shut the trunk, making sure to keep it away from the latch, as it might damage the harness. When you are finished, go ahead and place it back in the trunk or spare tire area for storage. Now, I'll show you how it installs. First, we need to gain access to the trunk area. We'll then lift the spare tire cover and jack storage tray out of the way and remove the center threshold. To do this, we need to remove three pop rivets that hold the threshold in place. Once that's done, we'll pop up the entire threshold up and out of the way. Next we need to get to the taillight wiring harness. more

Today on our 2012 Nissan Xterra we'll be installing this Tow Ready Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat connector part number 118525. We're first going to locate the manufacturer's tow port at the back of the vehicle. It'll be a gray plug. The plug also has a weather-proof cap on the end of it that will need to be removed. In order to remove it we'll press on the locking tab of the cap and then remove it. Next we'll take our matching pig tail with the gray connector and plug directly into the manufacturer's tow port. Now we'll route the pig tail to the end of the frame, down the hitch, ultimately we'll secure it to the chain hold down on the hitch. more

Then once we're finished using our new 4-pole wire we'll go ahead and open up the rear cargo door, roll it up and store it in the rear storage tray. To access the kick panel we'll first remove the floor mat. Next we'll remove the kick panel. To remove the kick panel we'll first need to remove the plastic cap-headed screw. Then we'll go ahead and remove the threshold and set it aside. To remove the threshold we'll get underneath it with a flat blade screwdriver, on in this case a trim panel tool, and pop the fasteners free. more

Today on our 2012 Nissan NV, we'll be installing the tow ready custom fit vehicle wiring harness, part number 118553. First, to begin our install, we'll go ahead and open up the rear cargo doors, then we'll locate the manufacturer's wiring connector between the tail light and the wiring harness for the driver side. Here, just inside the rear driver side door pillar, there's a plastic clip connector securing the wiring harness on the inside. Let's go ahead, press on the connector and allow it to free so we can pull the wire out to the access hole. Then we can go ahead and press on the locking tab for the connector and separate the two. Now, we'll bring in our tow-ready T1 connector. Here, we can plug the in-line with the manufacturer's wiring as the tow ready harness will provide identical connectors. Then we can go ahead and re-secure the clip connector, holding the wires into the interior panel. Next, we'll add the power wire to our converter box. more

To do that we need to loosen up some interior panels to get access to the wiring which will be behind the taillights on the interior of the body. So to start off we'll go ahead and remove our floor coverings to get down to the spare tire area. Next, we'll go ahead and remove our threshold. There'll be a plastic rivet on each side that we have to remove. more

Today on our 2013 Nissan Xterra, we'll be installing the tow ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 pole flat connector. Part number 1182525. To begin our install, we're going to start by installing the threshold and kick panel on the passenger side front row. To remove the threshold, first you use a flat base screwdriver or an interior trim panel tool to get underneath the threshold and release the fasteners underneath. Then we'll go ahead and work the threshold out of the way and set it aside for installation. Next we'll go ahead and repeat the same process with the kick panel. The kick panel has a plastic screw cap and then 2 attachment points underneath. We'll release these attachment points and then remove the plastic screw cap and then remove the kick panel. Now we've accessed the manufacturer's wiring, underneath the kick panel we'll located the white 12 point connector. As you can see here, it's secured to the manufacturer's wiring but we've got just enough room when . take the new jumper harness 12 point connector plugged directly into the manufacturer's 12 point connector. Next we'll go ahead and route the jumper harness. Now we can install out relays. Starting with brown connector and the brown relay, we'll go ahead and match up the pins install and secure it. more

Today on our 2008 Nissan Xterra, we'll be installing the tow-ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118525. We'll begin by putting the relays into our 12-pin jumper plug. The blue relays are exactly the same and can go in either of the 2 connectors. The third relay, the brown one, will have to go into the brown relay connector. Now that we have all 3 of our relays plugged in, making sure that the locking tab is fully engaged when pushing them together, we're ready to go up here under the passenger's side front door area. We're going to need to remove the threshold here. To do this, we use a trim panel removal tool or a large flat-head screwdriver. We'll need to work it underneath the trim panel to release the tabs that hold it in place. We'll go ahead and set the trim piece out of the way, and then, we'll go up here on the kick panel. more

To remove the threshold, we'll use a flat-blade screwdriver or interior trim panel tool to get underneath the threshold and pop the fasteners free. Next, we'll need to remove the kick panel. To remove the kick panel, we'll first remove the black cap nut. Then we'll release the fasteners underneath and set the kick panel aside. more

Today in our 2006 Nissan Frontier, well be installing the Tow Ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector Part Number 118525.Now well begin here at the rear of the vehicle. Here on the driver side at the rear of the vehicle, theres a factory plug that well be plugging our 4-flat into. Well need to first remove the blank cap thats already in the plug. To do this, well simply take a small flat-head screwdriver and push in on the locking tab and then pull the blank plug out. Once we have that done, well take our new plug that has the 4-flat connected to the other end and well simply plug it into it making sure that we hear the locking tab snap into place.Now that we have our plug in place, well go ahead and take the 4-flat end and route it up and over our hitch. Well then take the end dust cover and loop it through the safety chain hole and connect it back on to the 4-flat securing it to the hitch. more

All right, today on this 2004 Nissan Maxima we're going to install part number 118470 from Tow Ready. First thing we need to do to install this wiring harness is to go ahead and open the trunk. Today on our 2004 Nissan Murano well be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat connector, part number 55571. To begin our install, well first need to go ahead and remove some interior trim components. Starting with the floorboard quarter panels, well then pull up on them and then remove them setting them aside for reinstallation later. Next well go ahead and raise the spare tire cover and remove the cargo tray. Next well go ahead and remove the rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, well remove the three fasteners that secure it, and then using our flat-bladed screwdriver or an interior trim panel tool we can get underneath of it, simply pry it up releasing the fasteners underneath. more

Today on our 2010 Nissan Titan, well be installing the Hopkins Factory style seven and four way flat vehicle end trailer connector, part number n40975. To begin our install, well first locate the manufactures seven-pole wiring located behind the bumper. Well go ahead and pull it down as its just held up there by some tape. Then well remove the end cap by pressing on the locking tab, removing the cap, and discarding it as it will not be reinstalled.Next well need to mount the bracket for our new seven and four pole. Well take our bracket and attach it directly here to the bottom of the bumper using the self-taping screws provided with our install kit. Well go ahead and take the manufactures wiring connect it to the back of the new seven and four pole. more

Today on this 2005 Nissan Armada, were going to install part number 30955 from Hopkins. Now our Nissan here has part of a factory tow package. It has wires around at the back, but does not have the actual connector, so were going to use this part to finish up the connection, so we can plug in a trailer. All right, first off well go ahead and pull out the wire harness from the vehicle. Now normally this would have a cap, however on this particular vehicle it did not have the cap. Now well take our connector and plug it into it. Well also use some dielectric grease to help protect the leads as well. more

The trays that surround the spare tire well have to unbolt from the floor too. Well also remove the threshold. Well also pull back the weather strip around the door to make things a little easier to get to pry apart the pieces. Well also remove the anchor points that are in the side panels.Once weve got all the pieces away from the vehicle, well go ahead and start installing our wiring. Today on our 2008 Nissan Frontier well install the Tow Ready T1 connector, part number 118525. To begin our installation well need to access the wiring underneath the kick panel on the passengers side. Well go ahead and open up the passenger side door and remove the threshold or seal plate. Making it easier access to removing the kick panel well go ahead and remove the passenger side floor mat. Then using our trim tool or a flat bladed screwdriver well pop free the two fasteners securing the kick panel. Now well go ahead and remove the kick panel and sit it aside. more

Today we have a 2011 Nissan Xterra and we will be installing the Tow Ready T-One Connector Part Number 118525. After removing the contents from the package, you will notice you have three relays. These three relays need to be plugged in to the jumper wire also included in the packaging. After plugging the three relays in, we are now ready to move inside the vehicle. Here on the passenger side, we will need to remove the passenger side kick panel. To do this, we will first need to remove the passenger side floor seal by pulling upwards on the floor seal and then out towards the rear of the vehicle. more

Today on 2012 Nissan Frontier we are going to install the tow ready T1 connector part number 118525. This is a two-part harness. The first piece we'll be adding to the passengers side kick panel. First, we'll remove the passenger's side threshold trim then the kick panel. To remove the trim, we'll simply take a flat blade screwdriver or a trim inaudible tool and get it underneath and pry it free from the plastic fasteners. To remove the kick panel we'll need to remove plastic screw cap and then use our trim panel tool or our flat blade screw driver to pop free the kick panel. more

Today on our 2008 Nissan Maxima, were gonna install the Curt T-Connector Wiring Kit part number 56022.Now when we got our spare tire components cleared out, we need to remove the rear threshold and the plastic fasteners that secure the carpeting behind both rear taillights.Now you can see we have the access to the wiring behind the driver side taillight. On the driver side, well take the connector that has the yellow, red and brown wire running to it. Were gonna plug this in line with the manufacturers connection. Press on the locking tab, disconnect the two connection points for the manufacturer, well plug our new harness in line with the manufacturers. Next, were gonna take our white wire with the ring terminal and were gonna ground it back here to the sheet metal. Were gonna go back to this sheet metal because this is where the sheet metal overlaps so itll be a little bit thicker and give us a better grounding point.With our ground wire installed, well go ahead and add our two-way adhesive to the back of our converter box. more

Today I will be working on at 2009 Nissan Murano were going to install Tow-Ready T-One Connector 118481. First were going to access the rear hatch of the vehicle, once we get in to the rear hatch of the vehicle first we need to remove the rear cargo area, open the door there's two clips or turn stout push pins on either side this is the driver's side were just going to turn it 90 degrees and do the passenger's side the same way, pick up on the cargo and slide it out from underneath the rear trim Im going to go ahead and close it and we going to start that out of our way of reinstallation later. Next what I want to do you'll see a claw strap here just kind of open it on the driver's side. Next we'll want to remove the rear threshold piece, underneath here there's going to be three-plastic push pins to remove. Okay I place the one on the driver's side there's one in the middle and on the passenger's side I'm going to go and repeat the same process for all three. Now we've got all three fasteners removed we can go ahead and remove our rear threshold we just kind of gently pull up on it. more

Today were working on a 2011 Nissan Sentra. Were going to install toe ready T1 connector part number 118470. Weve already removed the spare tire and spare tire tools and trunk contents. Our next step is to remove the rear threshold. Were going to take a screwdriver or trim tool and get underneath the plastic and slowly pry up to release the fasteners from the sheet metal. With the threshold removed, well go ahead and set it aside.With the rear threshold removed, we now need to remove the carpeting behind the tail light. more

Today on this 2004 Nissan Armada we are going to install part number N40975 from Hoppy. We are also going to use part number 18140 from Tow Ready. This is the bracket we will use to connect to the hitch. These are the two parts that come with the Hoppy kit. This bracket, and this connector, they just snap together. Mounting this to the hitch is going to be a little bit different. That is where we are going to use the other part number 18140. This will clamp to the hitch, and then we will mount this to the bracket. :35 more

Today on this 2006 Nissan Murano we are going to install part number C56105 from Curt, their T connector wiring kit. The first thing we need to do is get access to the inside of the vehicle so we are going to have to open up the hatch and we are going to remove some interior panels to get to the wire harness. This compartment we have to move also so we have to remove these two bolts and that will allow us to take it apart. In order to remove this compartment we also have to loosen up the carpeting on the side here too. We are just going to pop up this cap right here and then we will remove the tie down hook. Now we have got our driver side done, now we will go over to the passenger side and repeat the same process. 00:50 more

Today on this 2008 Nissan Altima we are going to install part number 118470 from Tow Ready. The first thing we need to do on this install is get inside the trunk area and remove the carpeting. We are going to remove this plastic also. Start by taking out the rivets, they pop right out. Use a screwdriver to get the rivets started and then take a trim panel tool. Pull out the middle. Work our way across. All right we have got the threshold gone, lets remove the carpeting. We are going to repeat the same process back over on the passenger side.
