This is going to be a submersible LED light to give you the functions for your driver's side on your trailer. The reason why this is particularly for the driver's side is because it also has an additional light at the bottom for your license plate so that can be illuminated at all times as well. And it's a kind of a boxy light, but everything in here is sealed. The housing here does have a couple little holes so water could get in there, but all the actual diodes, all the actual electrical components are sealed with a potting material so no water is going to cause any issues with the important components. While water might get in there, it's not going to cause any damage.If we take a look at this, I've got this already illuminated with just the running light function. more

This allows you to have a nice large amber lights to make it clear what's going on with your vehicle, making any kind of stops and turns and signal appropriately to other vehicles out on the road. This is an amber light, so typically going to be used as a clearance light, or a turn signal. It has 17 diodes, it is an LED light.The nice thing about having an LED light versus your typical older style incandescent bulb is that you don't really have to worry about any kind of maintenance with this light. The diodes last for a very long time, there's no bulbs to break and then have to change out over time. It also has a lower power draw, or power requirement, from our battery. more

I'm going to undo my little sticker here, so I can roll this out a little bit for you, that way you can see that there are different lengths for the red versus gray, or silver. And this is what our light looks like when it's installed. This is going to be your standard two and a half inch round clearance marker light that has an incandescent bulb. So it'll make a great replacement for your existing ones if they get damaged, or if your lenses are just all scratched up and just not looking to your desire, you can go ahead and make it look nice and new. And also here at the back of the trailer, I also installed the same light in red as the back of your trailers needs to have red lights, and amber lights are designed for the front of your trailer. Being an incandescent bulb, this is going to be your economical choice. LEDs are going to be a more modern look than your incandescents, but if you're going for an old school look and you want your trailer to maintain its factory style, then replacing those old damaged or worn out incandescents with these will help breathe new life into it.What I really like about these lights though, is that they are a completely sealed housing. more

It's got an adhesive backing on it, so we can just simply pull that tape off there and stick this wherever we need it. This is going to meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108, so you can trust that it's going to do what you need it to do.I do want to give you a couple of measurements here to make sure that this is going to work for your application. So when I measure this it's right about three and a quarter of an inch wide, right about an inch and a half tall, and it's only about, I'd call it an eighth of an inch thick. more

Review of Optronics Clearance Trailer Lights - Round Red LED Submersible - OPT94FR- Video
Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the LED clearance or side marker light. This is going to give us some light for our trailers, so we can be in compliance with all DOT laws, and it's also going to help other drivers to see us while we're out on the road, especially in the dark. So it's just going to be this nice little submersible light, sonically sealed so you can get this in the water. It doesn't have any chance of getting dirt and debris inside there either, so if you want to take this off-road it should be just fine. It does have surface mount technology, so the LEDs are mounted in a way that they should be resistant to any kind of shock and vibration. It's going to be a really nice long-lasting light, no filaments to break on you, you shouldn't have to worry about any kind of maintenance with this.It is just a nice little red lens over the white LEDs. more

Optronics Combination LED Trailer Tail Light Installation- Video
Randy: Hey guys, it's Randy here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at a light from Optronics. This is one of their LED square types, so most utility trailers, boat trailers, you're going to see with this type of light on it. The biggest difference with this one compared to a lot of the other ones out there is not only is this light submersible but it's completely waterproof. The entire LED pack has actually been molded right to the back of the lens, so we have zero issues with water actually being able to get inside and affect any of the electronics that we have.You'll notice here we've got nice bright, clear, LED lights, also on the side. On your driver's side, you're going to have the bottom panel here, which will also illuminate your license plate down low, on the passenger side, that's going to be all black. more
