Review of Air Lift Vehicle Suspension - Rear Axle Suspension Enhancement - AL60728

Today, we'll be taking a look at the airlift 1000 air helper Springs. Now these are going to fit in between your coil Springs in the rear of your view vehicle to support that rear suspension a little bit more. It's going to help out in those situations where we're carrying heavy loads in our vehicle. And we need to bring that back end back up and reduce the typical squat that you get from putting a lot of weight on the back end, whether you're hauling a trailer, maybe a gooseneck or whatever the case may be. Typically, with these kinds of Springs are going to be used on more SUV type cars. These are going to be a fit in particular for the 1991 through 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser, the 1996 through 1997 Lexus LX 450, and the 1998 through 2002 Lexus LX 470. more

SuperSprings SumoSprings Rebel Front Helper Springs Installation - 2018 Newmar Canyon Star Motorhome

Shane: Hi, I'm Shane at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at, I'm going to walk you through the installation of the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs for the front axle on your 2018 Newmar Canyon Star 26,000 pounds, Ford F-53 chassis. These are designed to reduce body roll and sway, and give you a much more comfortable ride while you're traveling. For those of you that are new to RV. If you haven't driven long-distance yet, there's things called crosswinds and when you get next to a truck or trailer, there's wind that comes in between both you and that truck or trailer, and it kind of moves the RV. I know firsthand. more

Ryan: Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2012 GMC Sierra 2500, we're going to be taking a look at it, and showing you how to install the TorkLift StableLoader suspension upgrade. Now, one thing that separates this suspension enhancement from any of the others and probably one of my personal favorites, is how easy it is to disengage it when you're not using it. And because of that, you can still maintain your factory ride. To disengage it, just pull our pin. Pop that out. And you can simply move the wedges out of the way, and put your pin back in place. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the SumoSprings Custom Maxim Helper Springs for the Rear Axle on our 2016 Newmar Canyon Star motor home. Now here at etrailer.com, we get a lot of questions about motor homes, specifically about the suspension upgrades, because let's face it, a motor home is a very tall, top heavy vehicle that can be extremely difficult and a little unnerving to drive. Because whether you're new or even doing it for a while, you realize real quickly that since it is so top heavy, and we have a large area, it catches a lot of wind. So we end up getting pushed around whether we're driving down the highway from a truck, a big gust of wind, or even a rut in the road. There's got to be a simpler way to feel more in control and actually enjoy your motor home. So before we put any of our parts on, let's take it out on the test course and see how it handles. As I'm going over the bumps here, I can definitely feel a jarring going through the seat and it really doesn't want to react as quick. more

Today in our 2015 GMC Sierra 3500, we're going to be installing Timbrens rear suspension enhancement system. And this is what our Timbrens look like when they're installed. They just replace our factory jounce bumper, but they're much more robust looking. You can see that they don't contact when the vehicle's unloaded, but it will contact right away once you put a little bit of load on it. The spring itself is designed to compress and the more it compresses, the stronger it gets providing more and more support. If you have a small load in the back to where it just barely touches, you're going to get some minimal support, it's just going to help smooth out your ride, reduce some sway and just be an overall more enjoyable experience. more

Review of Air Lift Vehicle Suspension - Rear Axle Suspension Enhancement - AL57375

Today we'll be taking a look at the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs for the rear axle. Having air springs in your vehicle is going to greatly improve the overall ride quality whenever you're carrying a heavy load. These are going to bring your factory ride height back to stock. Whenever you have a load in either your truck bed or maybe you're hauling a fifth wheel camper, gooseneck trailer, anything like that, that we might be hauling, usually it makes the back end of your truck squat down and that has a couple of adverse effects. It'll bring the front of our truck up and that kind of messes with the geometry of our front suspension and makes our steering just not handle quite as well as it should. Our headlights are pointing up a little bit and it overall just doesn't feel as secure as normal. Then on the back end it causes a lot of stress and strain on our OEM suspension components, so this is going to bring our factory ride height back up to level, reduces that squat, eliminates it completely and then it also is going to provide some shock absorption as well, even when we don't have a load on our vehicle. more

Review of Timbren Vehicle Suspension - Front Axle Suspension Enhancement - TFEF350UH

Today we'll be taking a quick look at the Timbren front suspension enhancement system. Now these are going to work out really well for those instances where we need to alleviate a little bit of that typical swaying that we get as we're making corners and going down the highway. These are going to be a fit for a lot of different RV's out there and they install really easily, they just go, again, on that front end of your suspension. You just take out the old jounce bumper underneath the vehicle on the frame on either side and then replace it with these guys. It has a bolt that goes up through that hollow spring and then you tighten down the locknut on top. Has a little adapter there to fit in with your frame. The nice thing is there's no drilling, easy install. That's going to act as a, sort of beefed-up jounce bumper now, to create a more cushioned effect between your frame and your axle, so you won't have to worry about that leaning, swaying feeling that you typically get in an RV, especially as you're turning around corners and the whole thing just seems to kind of want to tip over. more

Review of Timbren Vehicle Suspension - Front Axle Suspension Enhancement - TUMDF70

Today we'll be taking a look at the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System. If you have a vehicle that has a pretty overloaded front end, like if you're carrying a winch or a snowplow on the front of your truck, this is going to help to bring that front end back up, get your headlights pointed back up straight, and improve the overall handling of your vehicle. Also, if you have an RV, where pretty much any suspension enhancement we put in there is going to improve the overall ride, this is also going to be a great addition. Not only does it relieve that sag that makes our vehicle squat down, but it also helps to relieve off centered loads, since they work independently. And it also acts as a shock absorption system, since it's going to be another connection point in between the axle and our frame, and provide some cushion in between those two things. So we won't have as bumpy a ride going down the road. It's also going to help to extend the life of other suspension components, because now we'll have another thing to take up the brunt of that force as our vehicle bumps along down the road. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2018 Ford F-150

Hi there Ford owners. Today on our 2018 Ford F-150, we're going to be installing Firestone's Ride Rite Air Helper Springs. Air bags is the solution that'll solve issues with hauling heavy loads or trailers behind your vehicle that causes the backend to sag down. The air bags will help lift the rear of your vehicle back up, returning it to its normal ride height. There's a lot of benefits to having it at the normal ride height. When your vehicles sag down in the back, it causes the front to point upwards, which makes your headlights point towards the sky, reducing visibility when driving at night. Additionally, when you have your geometry set like this, your suspension is not acting as it was originally intended to, this can cause increased tire wear and reduced handling performance. When you brake, your weight wants to shift towards the front, and having the weight leaning back towards like this will cause that weight to not shift properly and it will increase the stopping distance required to stop your vehicle. more

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the front SumoSprings on our 2016 Coachmen Mirada motor home. Now, here at etrailer, we get a lot of questions about motor homes, and the biggest one we get is about suspension upgrades. Because a lot of people once they buy their motor home, they go out for a trip. But what they don't realize is how top heavy they are, and how much space there is to catch wind. Once we're driving down the highway and we do have a big gust of wind, it really starts to push us around. So then we end up fighting the steering wheel, white knuckle driving the whole trip, not to mention the people in the back are getting nervous because they're getting thrown around inside. So, the suspension upgrades are going to make it a lot more comfortable and a lot more feeling of in control when you're driving your motor home.Another benefit of our helper springs is it is going to take some of the stress off of our factory suspension, because it's going to be supporting more of the weight of our motor home, so our suspension doesn't have to do it alone, which is also going to extend the life of our factory suspension because it's not under so much stress. Our SumoSpring is meant to replace the factory jaunt stop. more

Review of SuperSprings Vehicle Suspension - Rear Axle Suspension Enhancement - SSA25

Today we're going to be taking a look at the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit. Now, these beams are going to just sit on top of your leaf springs in your vehicle and add some extra support. That's going to be very helpful in those situations where we have our vehicle really loaded down and we need some help to prevent any sagging on the back end, maybe we're starting to get some sway happening, especially as we're towing our trailer down the road, or in the situation where we have an RV, a lot of times those can act as big boxes just swaying down the highway, and so our springs are going to add some extra support to our leaf springs, bolster that OEM suspension, and alleviate all those problems. The thing that I really like about this system is that it's pretty easy to install. The leaf springs just sit on top of your spring, the shackle goes around that spring pack, so there's no drilling required with this, it's pretty straightforward. It comes with some good instructions that have pictures of different vehicles and how they need to be set up.We'll have a couple of supports depending on what vehicle you have, and then the other brackets to go around our suspension to keep everything in place. But overall, pretty straightforward install, and again, no drilling, which is huge. And there's also no maintenance with these. A lot of times if we have air springs, those require constant maintenance, you have to make sure that the air pressure's right, adjust it as we need it, and make sure that our lines don't get messed up, that we don't have any leaks in the air bags, things like that. more

As you can see it's a two-piece design, giving it an infinite amount of suspension travel, so you don't have to worry about overextending your suspension. The SumoSprings are going to compress as you hit bumps and this compression is going to provide you with a smoother ride, but it's also going to make the vehicle more stable. This means you're gonna have more time to spend doing the things that you enjoy doing and less time resting up after the hard trip that you took to get there. The springs are made of a microcellular urethane, which is going to be resistant against road grime as well as UV rays, ensuring that it's going to last a long time. That way you and your family can enjoy the smoother ride that you're gonna get with these installed for many years to come.Your passengers will also enjoy not getting thrown around as much inside when you're going on the road. more

SumoSprings Rebel Front Axle Helper Springs Installation - 2019 Winnebago Adventurer Motorhome

Today on our 2019 Winnebago Adventurer motor home, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs for the front axle. Having a motor home can be a really fun thing and we can enjoy it a lot. We can go places we've never been before, spend time with our family, go camping, or anything like that, but at the same time, it can be really stressful and even scary at times because our motor home, it's a rather big vehicle, and there's a lot of area here for the wind to catch. So, when we're driving down the road, it may feel like we're getting pushed around and the body starts to lean and roll, especially when a semi drives passed us, or we hit a big crosswind. So, before we put any of our suspension components on, let's take it on our test course and see how it handles. As I bring my motor home through the slalom course, I can definitely feel a lot of body roll going on, like it almost wants to lean before it starts to turn. Coming in and out of the turns, it really feels like I need to slow down so I don't lose too much control, and it's just kind of an unnerving feeling. more

Review of Timbren Vehicle Suspension - Front Axle Suspension Enhancement - THIF258

Today we're going to take a look at the Timbren suspension enhancement system. This is for the front axle on the 2004 through 2015 Hino two, five, eight, or two fifty-eight.These are going to act as a shock absorption for the typical bumps and shocks we experience out on the road, especially when we're carrying a lot of weight in our truck. It acts as an extra cushion between the axle and the frame, so it's going to reduce those typical shocks that we get, so we have a much more comfortable ride, and it's also going to help to prevent sag and stability . and increase stability in our vehicle as well. This provides some extra support to our OEM suspension components. This has a max weight capacity of six thousand pounds, and this isn't going to increase the payload of your vehicle, it's not going to increase what you can carry with your truck, but it just helps to support that much weight. So you never want to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. These are just going to be there as an added support. Now since they're there to give that support, they're going to help our OEM suspension components last longer, since they're not going to have to do as much of the work, it's going to help to disperse that energy out over more components. It's a pretty simple install, we'll just have our springs themselves, comes with a bolt to thread into our brackets which are going to sit on top of our leaf springs, so you will need to loosen up those u-bolts holding down your leaf springs, remove the jounce bumper and then this is going to sit underneath one of those u-bolts on either side.So that's going to be the hardest part of the install, just getting those u-bolts safely loosened up. more

Review of Air Lift Vehicle Suspension - Rear Axle Suspension Enhancement - AL59528

Today we're going to take a look at the airlift ride control air helpers springs for the rear axle. Now having some air springs in your vehicle is going to help improve the overall ride, especially whenever you have it loaded down with a lot of weight. It's going to take the breadth of that force, give us a more cushioned ride and it's also going to help improve the steering and braking performance since typically whenever you have that heavy load it's going to lower down the back end of your vehicle, raise up the front a little bit and it just kind of throws off our steering geometry and our car or our truck isn't connecting with the road as well as it could and everything's just not really working as it's meant to. So by having our load leveling capability with our airbags, it's going to improve all of those things. We don't have to worry about any of those issues. We won't have our headlights pointing up at other drives. more

SumoSprings Rebel Front Axle Helper Springs Review and Installation - 2014 Thor Challenger Motorhome

Hey there, road warriors. Today on your 2014 Thor Challenger, we're going to be installing Sumosprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs for the front axle. And this what our springs look like when they're installed. They're going to provide jounce support, where your jounce bumpers used to be. What this is going to do for you, is it's going to provide an overall smoother ride, as well as, to help eliminate sway, and provide more control over the vehicle. It does this, by working with your existing suspension system to help support the load that is above it. Now it doesn't increase the amount of weight you can carry on your vehicle, just how much that it's going to help assist your suspension. It's an upgrade over your factory jounce bumper, which normally doesn't have contact between your frame and your suspension, unless you've completely bottomed out. These springs will compress up to 80% percent from their normal height down, providing load carrying support the entire length of travel. What's nice about the springs being able to collapse and provide support like this, is that you will get that support the entire motion of travel, and it's going to be a lighter, softer support when at higher travel, and it's going to progressively become more and more supportive as you compress it, as opposed to the jarring hit from your factory jounce bumper. It's a two piece design, so you have an infinite amount of suspension travel. more
