It's gonna cause the vehicle to sag down a bit, which is gonna reduce the lifespan of our suspension, and put a lot of stress on other things.Since it's gonna be pushing down on the back, that's actually gonna raise up the front end, which is gonna make less contact on our front tires, which means our steering and stopping is gonna be diminished as well as the headlights are gonna be out of alignment. So they're gonna be further up, which can cause a lot of problems at night. So now that we have all of our gear loaded in the back, and our Lexus weighed down, let's take it on our test course and see how the factory suspension is gonna handle it.As we come to the bumps course, and we go over our alternating speed bumps, I can definitely tell you that there is a jarring feeling that I'm getting as I'm going over each one. The bumps are a lot more prominent than normal because of the load in the back, and it is resonating through the seats and taking a toll on our back.As we come to the slalom course, and we're going in and out of the turns, it does seem like it doesn't wanna grab and start turning as well, and it's just not as responsive. Just have a mushy floating feeling in the front end.With our Timbrens installed, you can see that we have a lot more of a level stance, and it's sitting right where it should be, rather than the backend sagging down, which also means the front is right where it should be also. more

We'll see how stock suspension reacts with the load we have placed in it.As we drive down our test course, you can see how the suspension's reacting and is moving up and down but doesn't have any extra support aside from the springs that our built into it.As you watch the suspension move up and down, look at where the bump stops are in relation to above the axle, that's where are Timbren springs we'll eventually be setting. They'll sit just above the axle when not in use. When in use, like we are now, they'll be touching the axle. This should give us a better, more controlled ride over the bumps and also the steering and handling as well.Alright, going over our bumps this time .. yeah, I'm going pretty slow but these are pretty big bumps. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're gonna be installing TorkLift's StableLoad Rear Suspension Upgrade, part number TLA7311.These suspension stabilizers work in conjunction with your existing overload springs. Your overload spring is normally designed to provide extra carrying capacity once your vehicle has been loaded up, and your spring comes in contact with that overload spring.We're not gonna get that benefit immediately, so to help reduce that backend sag, we're gonna get that body roll and breaking performance back that we we're losing before because of our suspension alignment change.Having your overloads ring engaged all the time will help stiffen up your rear suspension. This'll help improve handling, because you won't have as much body roll. It'll also help your braking performance, because you're gonna have a more stable rear end, so you're not gonna have so much sag in the back. So when you stop, and you have a heavy load, you're gonna be more in line, and the weight can be properly transferred onto your front tires to have a good stop. 'Cause most of your stopping's done by your front brakes.When going over bumps and potholes, you won't feel those as much, and you won't get so much oscillation between the front and back. more

That's going to be part number F2596. So here's what our airbags are going to look like once we have them installed. Now these are going to give us load leveling support whenever we're hauling a heavy load or towing a heavy trailer. It's going to work in conjunction with our factory suspension, preventing that sagging that's typically found when we have a heavy load in the back, or hauling a heavy trailer.It's also going to make sure that our factory suspension is doing its job properly, and it's not taking on too much stress or unwanted strain. Speaker 1: Now we took our truck through our test course, and I can immediately tell you it has a much smoother ride, and is definitely more responsive. As I'm going through the slalom part of our course, I can tell you the truck just genuinely seems like it wants to go faster, and it's handling the back and forth maneuvering much better than without the airbags installed.Now with our airbags installed, we actually got back to our factory height, even with our load in the back of the bed, with only having 55 PSI. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video

Speaker 1: Today on this 2009 Dodge Ram pickup, we're gonna review and install the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, part number TDR3500CA.This is what the Timbren's look like when they're installed under a Dodge truck. As you can see here, this replaces the whole bump stop assembly that was originally on the vehicle. And it really just bolts into place. It's very easy to install and is very easy to use once it's in place when you got a load in your truck.A couple quick details to know is that this is constructed entirely of rubber, but not just the rubber is what helps, it's also the shape of the two bellows right here that actually compresses and works as needed going down the road. Aside from the spring, it also comes with a bracket and the hardware needed to assemble everything. A lot of times whenever you have your car really loaded down, it's going to affect the ride quality of your vehicle and the overall stability. When that car squats down, it changes the geometry of our vehicle suspension.
