Comparing B&W # BWRVK3300 w/ Reese # RP30922 5th Wheel Hitch for 2015 Ford F350 w/ OEM Tow Prep Pkg

Question:

I have a 2015 F350 Dually 8 foot bed with factory fifth wheel prep package. I to to the sand dunes and off road quite a bit so I want to make sure I can hitch and unhitch in uneven surfaces. I want to tow a 44 foot toy hauler that is max load at 20k lbs I will probably tow with it closer to 18k and pin weight of 3600 lbs. It would appear the two hitches in the subject line would be the best for my application, but there is a pretty significant cost difference between the two. The question I have is the Reese worth the extra money? does it make it easier to hook up off road? Would towing close to the maximum weigh ton the BandW have any negative impact? Thanks for your responses in advance.

Both hitches are of the highest quality, you wouldn't go wrong either way. Given that you'll be on uneven terrain, you'll do better with the B&W # BWRVK3300, as its head pivots 8 degrees front to back and side to side, versus 4 degrees for the Reese M5 Series # RP30922. Even through the # BWRVK3300 has the lower capacity at 20K, it will pull your 18K toy hauler with no problem at all, as long as it doesn't go over the 20K capacity of the hitch.
